LunchBox Tuesday – Think Outside the Box

September 21, 2010 By Melanie Roberts 3 Comments

Are you  tired of the same ol’ same ol’ lunch.

Bread, Peanut Butter and Jelly.. well think outside  the Box, you don’t have to use Bread for lunch. How about making a PB&J on Tortillas

Or you could use a Waffle or pancake as your “Bread” and add PB&J or any other toppings your little one would like.

We love to use Nutella Spread on our “Sandwiches”… Have you ever tried it? it is the Best, I grew up on Nutella in Germany and wouldn’t want to miss it. If you can find a sale, I would say give it a try, you can use it in so many ways, but my favorite is on Bread or HOT Toast… yummy;

You could also use an apple add Peanut butter and make that your Sandwich, add some graham Crackers and snack …. lunch is ready…

Or how does this look

PB&J Banana Burritos

While looking for some Lunch ideas I found this one and it matched my Tortilla Lunch idea today and I just had to share it…  You could also make this and leave the PB&J out and add Nutella with the bananas ohh soo yummy

PB&J Bannana Burritos

  • 2 Mission® Medium/Soft Taco Flour Tortillas
  • 4 tablespoons Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Smucker’s® Strawberry Jam, Jelly, or Preserves

  • 2 bananas, peeled

Instructions

  1. Place tortillas on a paper towel and microwave for 10 seconds.
  2. Spread 2 tablespoons peanut butter on each tortilla.

  3. Add 1 tablespoon jelly to each tortilla.
  4. Place the banana near the edge of the tortilla and fold up the ends of the tortilla.

  5. Roll-up and enjoy!

Happy Lunch day… 🙂

Oooh. I hadn’t thought about adding the banana. We roll them up around here. I made them over the weekend camping – love the NO mess option for pbj.

thanks for stopping by my blog, been a little “hot” here, so apologies for just getting back to ya.
