LYSOL® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System {Review & Giveaway}

August 8, 2011 By Melanie Roberts 51 Comments

Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System 1 Kit, Stainless Look, Aloe Vera & Vitamin E With Moisturizers Scent

I’m sure, by now you’ve seen this handy little thing on your grocery store shelve. If you are anything like myself, cool gadgets like these totally get me excited, but only if I have a coupon and can find a deal. I hate spending money on things without knowing if they even work.

So, I’ve eyeballed this soap dispenser for a few month now, and no deal in sight, I’ve itched to check it out and see if this really would work; I love Lysol and know they are a great company with wonderful products, but with a prize tag of oh, anywhere from $15 – $20 depending on what store you shop at, was a bit pricy for me to just give it a try. What if I don’t like it, what if it doesn’t work, does the soap dry out my hand and many more questions I had after seeing this cool little gadget. But on the other hand, it sure would be cool to have something in the kitchen that will help you after you touched chicken or any kind of meat and need to wash your hands.

Tempting, I know, BUT…. I patiently waited and I guess Lysol also knew, to convince me I would have to check out the product. So, the other day I was asked to take a look at their brand new Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System   in Stainless Steel look. I jumped at the opportunity, because this was my chance to tell you guys and Lysol what I thought about their product.

This is what Lysol has on their website, to give you some idea about the product.

LYSOL® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System helps eliminate the millions of germs that your hands can pick up each day! It automatically senses hands and dispenses just the right amount of soap. Hand washing is one of the most important steps you and your children can take to help you stay healthy and with the LYSOL® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System, you and your family will never have to touch a germy soap pump again.

What’s more, the system’s antibacterial hand soap kills 99.9% of bacteria on hands* — so it’s ideal for use in the kitchen or bathroom. The starter kit includes a dispenser, one hand soap refill, and four AA batteries. When you use the LYSOL® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System, you’ll know you’re helping your family by fostering proper and effective hand washing to help prevent the spread of germs.

This is what we have to say:

We LOVE it. This soap dispenser stands about 9 inches tall without the soap; the soap comes in 4 different scents:

  • Refreshing Grapefruit Essence™ (Refill only)
  • Soothing Cucumber Splash™
  • Aloe Vera & Vitamin E with Moisturizers
  • Antibacterial Total Care

and each soap bottle has 8.5 FL oz of soap to dispense. The starter kit includes one dispenser, one soap bottle and 4 AA batteries. Once you open the packaging the unit is easy to assemble, just push the soap into the dispenser opening and activate the batteries; that’s it. Hold your hands underneath and the motion sensor will activate and dispense the right amount of soap. This is so cool. You can use it in the bathroom, the kitchen anywhere in the house you have a sink. My tween and Teen and even the toddler are totally motivated to wash their hands now; they think it’s cool. I love the no touch aspect of it, meaning I never have any of the germs and gunk on the soap dispenser, that I usually have on regular dispensers. The stainless steel unit looks great in my kitchen and is easy to wipe down with a wet cloth or wipe if needed. Very stylish and can be used anywhere and will defiantly be a conversation starter, at least in my house it was.

The refills are readily available at Wal-Mart, Target or your favorite grocery store and run about $6 per bottle.

It is a little bit on the pricy side, however there are always $$ coupons in Sundays Newspaper or available through Lysol.com, helping offset a little bit of the cost. You can also purchase soap in bilk through Amazon.com, to add some extra savings.

We can’t wait to buy a few more for each of the Bathrooms and sinks in the house. I feel 100% this is so worth the money and makes me feel better knowing the germs are going down the drain and no back onto our hands and food. We have tested our unit for about 2 weeks now and so far had no issues with the unit, I know I found some comments about the Unit not working properly, but so far I can not agree with the comments, I had no issues to report as of yet.

We are giving this 2 thumbs up and are super excited to share one unit with one of our readers. Be sure to enter our Giveaway below.

I received a starter unit for my review, all opinions are 100% our own and no other compensation was nor will be received. The prize will be shipped directly through the PR company and I can not be liable for any missing or lost products; Facebook is in no way associated with this Giveaway and we will release Facebook from any liability.
