I’m a busy mom of 3, as most of you know I work outside the home full time as well as share lots of fun blog posts with you each and every week. Lunch isn’t my top priority for myself. Don’t get me wrong, I make sure the kids all have their lunch every day, but for myself I tend to get too busy and skip on most days. Some days I’m even too lazy to just run somewhere during my lunch break. Sometimes making a decision as to what fast food joint to run to is just overwhelming and hardly ever sounds good. Besides that, I hate spending $10 and up for just a lunch for myself. #CollectiveBias #LoveLunchIn
This year I made an early New Year’s resolution, with the New Year just a few days away, I will make an effort to #LoveLunchIn and bring my own lunch every single day. I recently discovered Campbell’s® Slow Kettle® Style soups during one of my Walmart shopping trips and loved the packaging style, a clear bowl.
Making the Soup was as easy as 1, 2, 3… Not much to it, but full of flavor. While Campbell’s® Slow Kettle® soup has always been microwaved in separate bowls from the container, for best results Campbell’s recommends heating on the stove. However, many consumers told Campbell’s that they’d like to microwave the soup in its container, so they developed the instructions below:
Stove: Heat gently over medium heat in saucepan, stirring occasionally.
Microwave: Microwave ovens vary. Time is approximate. Uneven microwave heating may cause popping, movement of the container and/or splattering.
-
Discard plastic cap; carefully remove and discard metal lid. Cover with microwavable plastic wrap.
-
Microwave on HIGH 2 minutes. Let stand in microwave 1 minute. Carefully remove from microwave, grasping container on both sides with potholders. Stir before serving.
Note: After tasting, if you like warmer soup, heat an additional 15 seconds.
The soup was delicious, full of flavor and perfect for a #LoveLunchIn at the office. The bowls can be easily dropped into your purse, no need to refrigerate and most every office has a microwave around, if you are one of the lucky ones to have a stove, even better.
To make lunch a little extra special, these soups also are great to pair with other items like:
-
Cracker
-
Apples
-
Veggies
-
Sandwich
I know you will find the soup filling, but I bet you will find lots of different combinations to make it from a blaa lunch to an awesome lunch, right there on your desk, cubical or living room couch.
