Make Halloween #SweetOrTreat a fun one this year with some simple Treat craft ideas with Free Printable

Halloween is always fun at our house, we don’t really do the door to door thing anymore, but we go to a lot of Halloween Parties at different friends and a lot of churches around town are hosting a spooky night, too. It is always a lot of fun. This year we decided to create something fun for my daughters 1st grade class, too. Last year some of the parents organized a little Trunk or Treat and that gave me the idea that if I check my local Sam’s Club @SamsClub that I would probably find a bunch of candy for an affordable price and I could surprise the 1st grade class with a special #SweetOrTreat. I always try to keep it simple and affordable, but something that puts a smile on the kids’ faces.

I had my Teen’s with me while shopping and they stumbled across the Skittles & Starburst 30 Pack from Sam’s Club and begged me to get it for them. I’m a sucker, what can I say, I let them talk me into it, under one condition that I could use the candy for the 1st grade class as well. I figured a box of 30 packs of candy should be plenty for both my Teen’s as well as 20 kids in 1st grade. The Skittles & Starburst 30 pack was $14.95 and had plenty of candy to go around for a while.

For the teachers and some friends I made some fun Test Tube Ghoulish Goodies. These were super easy to make and even the little ones could help.

This is what you will need:

• Test Tubes (Can be found at Craft Stores, Party Supply stores)
• Skittles, sorted by colors
• Orange, Black, Green & Purple Tulle
• Test Tube name Printable (see below)
• Ribbon and some Scrapbook Paper

This is how to make your fun and Ghoulish test Tube Goodies:

1. Sort all your Skittles by color and take each color and place them into one Test Tube canister; put lid or cork on to close the top.
2. Cut tulle into squares; I used 2 different colors, one sheet each per bottle
3. Place the Tulle under the cab or cork and close the tube again
4. Print the labels or have them printed at a Photoshop; cut and glue onto scrapbook pager; punch hole and tie around the test tubes with a ribbon

It’s simple as that. I bet they will be a big hit at any party or Halloween get-together. I know my kids got a kick out of these Ghoulish test tubes and had fun coming up with creepy names for each skittle tube. You can easily create your own name tags; I made mine in PicMonkey, feel free to print it below. It works well on a 4×6 and I had mine printed at a local Photoshop for $0.25 cents, saved me from using my ink and it looked “Bootiful” in the end; you could print them at home as well.

We all know giving kids Halloween treats isn’t as easy as it used to be and if you are anything like me; any candy that isn’t wrapped or in its original wrapper when the kids get home, I will toss it. So I decided to use the Starburst that are part of the HUGE Skittle & Starburst pack as a special treat just for the kids. I wanted them to look fancy but still stay on a budget. I already had the candy, had my tulle and everything else was already in the house and quickly my fancy schmancy Starburst treats were created. I know, I would love if my kids would receive these, knowing they are wrapped candy and still look like a million bucks, wouldn’t you like your kids to have these?

All you do is take 3 pieces of Tulle, layer them; I used 2 different colors. 2 cupcake liners and fill them with candy. I added 4-5 Starburst inside each of the cupcake liners, took a ribbon and tied them all up; toped it off with a cupcake topper and voila, a #SweetOrTreat for the little ones was created. Can’t get any sweeter or easier than that. Trust me!
