I finished our Advent “Wreath” for the season. Every first Sunday in December the Advent Season starts. Advent is BIG in Germany and I try to keep that tradition going with my family as well. I always have a hard time finding all the items to make my very own, traditional Advent Wreath, so each year I come up with different ways to make our Advent “Wreath” and still enjoy the Advent time here in Central Florida, thousands of miles away from our Home in Germany.
This year I used a cake stand, some “snow”, holiday pick’s (you know, the ones you use on a door wreath), 4 Plastic glasses and some ornaments to fill the glasses. I was originally gonna use real candles, but I found these “fake” LED lights and kind if love it; that way I can keep the “wreath” on the table during Sunday Breakfast and not worry about one of the kids knocking over the candle.
If you aren’t familiar with Advent, each Sunday we will burn a candle till 4 candles are lit; once the fourth candle is lit, Christmas is near. I also have many posts about how we celebrate Christmas in Germany and recipes to go along with our traditions; be sure to check them out.
I will post each Sunday our Candles, from the first till the fourth, along with recipes and our traditions during the Holiday Season, so be sure to come back and check often.

Your wreath is so cute and creative. I love German Christmas traditions. When I was a child we lived in Germany for a few years while my father was stationed there in the Army. I absolutely loved it at Christmas time- the decorations were so beautiful. Not to mention the food. I miss so many foods from our time there. The little bakeries with elephant ears, the stands where you could buy pommes frites and Fanta and bratwurst and brotchen. I would love to go back some day and I would want to go at Christmas.

That turned out beautiful! I am just not at all creative and when I try, it surely doesn’t come out anything as nice as this. Way to go, that is outstanding! I love it!
