Happy Monday; time sure is zipping by. Here we are almost mid September and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. We did a little photo-shoot with the kids this weekend and I had a blast. My Toddler above looks so silly and yet cute. She had a ton of fun. What did you do this past weekend? We tried to get as much family time in as we could.
Do you remember where you were 10 years ago? I bet all of us do :0( My prayers go out to All that lost their life and lost a loved one. We’ve also spend a good deal of the weekend watching shows about 9/11. My Tween is totally obsessed with understanding what happened, why, when and where. He asked a lot of questions and I think, this year since they also had a week long Theme week about 9/11 in school, it seems more real to him and more interesting than in the years past. He was 2 when this thread full September day happened.
I’m proud of him wanting to learn and listen and understand what this country went trough and still going through today. How are your kids dealing with this? Did they ask questions? Did they talk about it in school? Would love to hear how others handled the 10 year anniversary with their children. To them and probly most of them it always will be History since it happened before their time, but like my Tween he was part of History. God Bless….
This is what we are dishing up this week in the crazy mom’s house…. I love to read all the other meal plans and get ideas each week. Planning our meals defiantly keeps us on budget and in line.

Sounds like a great week’s worth of menus, especially the brats and scampi 🙂

What’s cooking in your kitchen Donna?

Leftovers from the weekend for the next night or two, but I’m pulling meat out of the freezer to give the German Goulash a try.

It was a hit! Made one batch for our family during the week and made another batch for our designated meal camping with friends this weekend. All raving reviews – perfect for a cool rainy day! I did throw in the carrots and potatoes, so a great hearty meal.
