Did you know that April is National Grilled Chasse month? I had no idea.. but loving it. I’m a cheese kind of gal and give me a slice of bread and cheese and I’m happy, any day..even over a big juicy steak… A girl needs her cheese….(and maybe some wine..lol)
Land O’Lakes is a stable in our house for all kind of butter needs, but have you ever tried their Deli Selection? AMAZING! I love the price as well, I got a pound of American Cheese for just $4, which as a HUGE package from the Deli; it will last us probly all week (unless we make Grilled Cheese Sandwiches every night..lol), and I found 8 oz packages of cheese in the refrigerated isle for about the same price… so it was a no brainer that the yummy, delicious and ohhh so good Deli Land O’Lakes Cheese was a bargain dal for me….
We had a grilled Cheese Sandwich night the other day and we decided to spice it up a bit, ya know.. pep up the Grilled Cheese sandwich a notch… or Like Emeril Lagasse would say “Bam it up a bit”…lol..
After all, we are all grown up now, a boring simple Grilled Cheese Sandwich is for the under 12 crowed only, right…. The best part, you can use simple ingredients that are probly around your home and make delicious sandwich creations, quickly and in no time.. any day of the week….
As you can see we have quit the variety of sandwich ingredients, we have Chipotle Mayo( (homemade by Hubby), cheese, Land O’Lakes Slices, Guacamole, bacon, ham and whatever else we could find in the fridge… We also used a little bit of oil to brush the sandwiches, which worked beautifully… We usually use butter and always seem to burn the sandwiches, this time I found a little trick and I loved the outcome.. use Oil and brush it on your sandwiches..then put it on your Sandwich press…
Do you have a Sandwich press? Well, we actually have a Foreman Grill and used that to press our sandwiches, but everyone complaint, so when we received the Hamilton Beach® Panini Press , I was a bit skeptical and didn’t really think that this would be another gadget that is sitting in the kitchen and no one will use it… BOY, was I wrong! We will not use our Foreman for Panini’s anymore! The Panini (or Sandwich Press) was super easy to use, took only a few minutes and the sandwiches turned out amazing….
Not sure what was better the Land O’Lakes Deli Cheese or the amazing Hamilton Beach® Panini Press … you just gotta have both!! They are like Pea in a Pot.. One can’t go without the other, but as a Team they are Amazing!!
