Cheer on Team USA during the Olympic Games with a simple snack idea

July 29, 2016 By Melanie Roberts 2 Comments

fruit-kabobs-are-easy-to-make-We are a big sports Family and love watching Football, Soccer and our latest excitement The Olympic Games in Rio. We can’t wait for August 5th to roll around so we can cheer on our favorite USA teams, competing against the best of the best. By the way a little housekeeping just like they do at the Olympic Games, this post is brought to you by Bounty, I’m a Bounty Ambassador but all opinions and ideas are mine alone.

My son is all about the track & field team, he is an avid runner himself and he loves the challenge so he will spend hours tracking and logging the progress. My husband will watch every free minute he has and it doesn’t matter which discipline as long as he can cheer for the USA he is happy.

We love to dress up for the occasion and decorate the house, the cars and even create simple snack ideas all in the red, white and blue theme. I constantly have Bounty as my steady companion by my side in case we have any spills, cleanups or messes. Bounty is 2X more absorbent vs. the leading ordinary brand so you can clean up messes and spills in record time.

I decided to share my latest snack creation with you so you can get ready for August 5th as well and sit down and cheer on our team. These red, white and blue skewers are very easy to make and will be a big hit at any Olympic Game party you may have planned. They are great to take along and taste amazing even the next day, so they are a perfect fit to prepare ahead if you run short on time.

Don’t they look amazing? Always serve them with a Bounty paper towel to keep any mess at bay. Also, did you know that for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Bounty the #QuickerPickerUpper has teamed up with one of the quickest women in the world, Olympic Sprinter and Four-Time Gold Medalist Allyson Felix? Pretty amazing huh? My son loves the partnership since Allyson Felix is one of his favorite track runners. Allyson Felix is not only quick on the track, but she’s also quick at home because she uses Bounty paper towels, which helps her clean up messes and spills in record time. Only the best is good for me, so Bounty it is!

A few more ideas on what you can dish up during your very own Olympic Games Party are below, check it out and remember to always keep Bounty paper towels handy, you never know when they may be needed.

  • Red & Blue Jello, layered with white whip cream to have a red, white & blue Jello cup
  • Strawberries, Blueberries topped with whip cream
  • Raspberries & Blueberries Tarts with whip cream
  • Strawberry ice cream & Vanilla Ice Cream and Blueberry Ice Cream all layered in a cone
  • Frozen Blueberries, dipped in strawberry & vanilla yogurt, place in freezer and enjoy when frozen

These are just a few of the simple ways you can impress your friends during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games . Would love to hear your ideas on how you plan on watching and what you plan on snacking. Leave me a comment below and don’t forget to always keep an extra roll of Bounty on hand, you do know that Bounty is more absorbent, so the roll can last 50% longer.

Those do look really pretty and yummy! Thanks for sharing. I used to be a runner, so I follow the track and field also.

It may not be Olympic time any more but these would still work for any occasion.
