Oh my, time changed and now you know what that means? Spring is upon us and the BBQ season is around the corner. We are busier as ever for some reason but I’m still trying to keep my family as healthy as I can with homemade dinners every single night. Yes… I’, still sticking to my New Year’s resolution. This year I’m determined to make almost every single dinner at home and so far we are going strong.
I shop at Sam’s Club for a lot of the bulk items and love their fresh produce and Salmon products and I found this beautiful Salmon the other day and just knew I needed to make something special.

I had most of the ingredients at home so look around you already have most of it as well and the few other items like the Broccoli and the fresh Salmon I picked up during our Sam’s Club trip and dinner was done in no time. Even the kids loved it and asked if we could add it to the meal plan menu more often.
I made Orange Ginger Glazed Salmon in a parchment paper pack and it was so easy and cleanup was a breeze. I recently discovered my love of foil or package cooking and now toss everything into a package and turn the grill or oven on and let someone else do the actual cooking. If you haven’t done it yet, you are so missing out. It’s simple, it’s delicious and since you are using fresh ingredients it’s amazing flavor.

Have I promised too much? Isn’t this gorgeous? It tastes just the way it looks, amazing! Fresh, flavorful and full of summer. The orange and ginger combination was finger licking good and to pair that with the salmon and the broccoli was just a win win. We served rice to our Salmon pack but you can certainly add extra veggies and leave the rice off. It was very filling and made me feel good knowing I dished up another healthy meal for my family.

While at Sam’s Club I also like to part of the Free Health Screening that they offer. It’s available in the Pharmacy and they check your glucose, total cholesterol, HDL, risk ratio, blood pressure, body fat percentage and if you like/need vision and hearing screening. I was pleasantly surprised and loved that I could quickly check up on my health all while picking up our household and meal items. I will be sure to do that every few month and also encouraged my husband to do it every so often. Check out your local Sam’s Club for the free health Screening and be sure to take them up on that offer. It’s your health, keep track of it! Prevention is the key and if it’s free, it’s for me!

Did you know that Sam’s Club also has an online magazine called Healthy Living Made Simple? I love reading it, always has great tips and ideas to cover your health and wellness needs. They even have great meal ideas with recipes and showcase products or ingredients that you may not use all the time because you aren’t sure what they are used in like I learned a lot about Coconut flour and products a while back or this time I enjoyed the information about the Superfood Salmon for the month of March and April and Broccoli was the Superfood for January and February, which encouraged me to create this simple recipe for my family and for you. So worth checking out and you will learn so much. It’s free, give it a try I bet you will fall in love and patiently waiting for the next issue, that’s what I do. Sam’s Club is unique and to me always tries to inform me as a member and I feel that they truly care about me and my families health and wellness needs.

Now you know why it is so easy for me to keep y family healthy and stay true to my New Year’s resolution, all thanks to Sam’s Club because Sam’s Club offers everything you and your family needs to stay healthy: Free health screenings, Optical, Hearing, OTC, Food and Beverage.

How did you enjoy my Orange Ginger Salmon Veggie Pack idea? Would love to hear if your family would eat this for dinner or maybe a different recipe idea you have that I can share with my family. Leave me a comment below, can’t wait to talk simple healthy dinner ideas with you.

My family would love a meal like this! I think I’ll have to try this parchment paper cooking technique. (client)
