You know I always preach Savings and coupons and living on a budget. I think it is smart to live on a Budget even if you don’t really have to. I was asked to check out a book called

Once I started reading this book, it was hard for me to put down. Some tips and ideas I already do some were new and will be great in our budget. This Idiot’s Guide to Living on a Budget will give you Money-savings tips that will keep your finances in your hands and away from your creditors. I love it. Anything I can do to save money is wonderful.
I’m not perfect and I have to admit years ago I had a huge Debt bill, between credit cards and loans I must have had well over $50,000.00; I was determined to get it all paid and back then I did not have Dave Ramsey or any other help; I just started thinking and common sense is pretty much what Dave Ramsey and all the other Debt reduction programs offer. So I used my common sense and started paying off one by one, I can honestly say we are debt free and will not buy anything unless we have the money saved up for it (other than a house or car purchase, to me that isn’t anything in the near future, realistically that we can pay cash for, and honestly most of us can’t.)

I know what being in debt means and can say Been there done that; I’m glad we got out and I wished I’d had this Idiot’s Guide Living on a Budget back then. This book is written by Peter J. Sander and Jennifer Basye Sander. This is a handy little book that will teach you how to handle your money and how to handle it in a way to pay off all your bills and stay out of debt. A lot of times you have plenty of money, you just have to change your “thinking” about money and spending. This book had a great little Blurb that caught my attention “You’re Money or Your Life: Your Choice“? Think about it… and just that sentence makes me start thinking…. Will I work for the next 50 years just so I can pay off all the bills that I created the prior 50 years? Will all my money go towards stuff that I don’t even remember I bought? Stop spending and start enjoying your life with what you have. If you already have 2 Big Screen TV’s… do you really need to buy a 3^rd, just because the Jones’s next door have 3? Who cares… if they are in debt, which of course no one ever talks about, is their problem. You will be so much happier if you accept what you have and how your life is. Don’t look at others you only see their front cover, they may have cool stuff, cool cars a great house.. BUT behind closed doors, you don’t hear that they are in debt up to their eyeballs and weigh a risk of losing it all with just one strike…

This little book is powerful with information and ideas on how you look at your budget and make you think twice on how you handle your situation. The book also helps you create a budget that fits your family and your lifestyle, it also gives you savings tips like save money at a dentist visit, or save money on a spa trip and so on… Being on a budget doesn’t have to be a chore, and it can be fun at times as well as stressful.. BUT if you stick to it, you will be so much happier in the long run and even have some money set aside for rainy days or to reward yourself and the family with things you would have thought would be completely out of reach.

I think this is a wonderful book for any family, but I will implement this book for wedding presents as well as graduation presents and maybe even for a Baby Shower.. This book will come in handy for just about anyone. It is really reasonable priced at $9.95 MSRP, but will save you tons in the end.
