Our Advent Calendar 2012

Another Christmas/Advent tradition in our home is the Advent Calendar; each year I come up with a fun way to have the kids count down the days to Christmas Eve. This year is no difference; other then my calendar will not be the traditional calendar, like you can see from prior years HERE, HERE or HERE.

This year I collected 24 wonderful Christmas books and wrapped each of them and attached a number from 1-24 and they are all neat and snug under the Christmas tree. Each night the kids get to open up a book and we will sit there and read the story. No hustle, no bustle, just the kids and hubby and I and our new Christmas Story book.

Each night when we read the book, I will also post and share with you guys what book of the “night” we had; in case you like to get some new book ideas or like to share it with your family as well.

We are counting down the days till Christmas Eve, come along and tell us what special things or traditions you guys have in your Family.
