I can not believe I’m saying this but our Summer is officially over after tomorrow! Where has time gone? All the kids will be heading to the bus on Monday and starting off another very exciting year. We had a lot of fun this summer, a lot of rainy days and thanks to Netflix we stayed pretty occupied insight.
Summer are always awesome but also tend to drag on sometimes and the kids often forget the things they learned in the last grade. This year we decided to take Netflix and use it to our advantage. While my daughter had a favorite list of shows and movies that she loved to watch during our weekly family movie nights, I had my own list that I let her pick and choose shows for during the day. Little did she know that every single show would keep her on her toes and keep the learning going. SHHHH.. that can be our secret, the kids don’t have to know.

A few of the shows on my list to keep the learning going through the summer and make her retain a lot of the things she had learned in 1st grade are below. Check them out, I bet your little one would love the interaction, too.
These are a few of the favorite shows my daughter loved watching during August in preparation for back to school. Netflix has so many awesome shows for every age group. So if you have a little one starting preschool, Kindergarten or High school, Netflix has you covered.

Project Mc² another Netflix Original Series, premiered on Aug. 7

See, there is something for everyone and if I say so myself the new Netflix original series Project Mc² is a pretty cool show. My daughter loves all these girly shows and this one sure was a hit and totally proves smart is the hottest BTS trend. The show features four supercool teen spies who show how girls can use their science smarts and math problem-solving skills to save the world. Total #SmartGirl inspo! Catch a preview here.

Now you know how we stayed busy during this rainy August (Yes!! it just stopped raining here in Central Florida 2 days ago.. WOW it has been insane) and how I challenged my kids memory while they watched their favorite TV shows.
Did you have a few favorite shows this month that you liked to watch on Netflix? Would love to hear it, let’s chat. Leave me a comment below.
