There is a new Chameleon on town… so bow your heads to RANGO… the cute, little, green Kooky pet Chameleon is about to hit the stores.
The Rango DVD will be available in the stores across the US starting July 15th; this is the new baby of Nickelodeon Movies & paramount Pictures. Get ready to tango with RANGO, a winner with critics and audiences that’s “like nothing you’ve ever seen before” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone). Johnny Depp is spectacular as Rango, a kooky pet chameleon who gets tossed into a wild and raucous town in desperate need of a hero.
Refreshingly original with eye-popping animation, RANGO is “loads of fun and genuinely funny” (Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times). And now you can get even more RANGO on DVD including a never-before-seen ending, 10 deleted scenes. This DVD set includes 2 Movies, the Theatrical & extended Version.
This was a wonderful family movie for everyone in the Crazy Mom’s House to watch, the jokes sure will get everyone laughing as well as the wonderful animation will make you feel like you are part of the movie. I loved the animation, paramount pictures did an amazing job. It is a Kids movie but I think a Tween and up will enjoy the movie much more than a younger child; it is rated PG, but some of the jokes are adult geared and maybe a bit over the top of a youngen. My Toddler loved it, but then she is 3 and probly doesn’t pay much attention to a lot that is going on, she loved the “Lizard” she called him and giggled over his crazy moves and actions.
The tween and Teen absolutely loved the movie, they can’t get enough of it and have watched it already 3 times and we only have it 2 days now.
My Teen calls it his new favorite, all time coolest and funniest movie and the Tween gave it 2 thumbs ( and he was trying to hold his toes up..lol) as well. They both loved it. we are big Johnny Depp fans and thing he did a great job in this unusual roll, in an animated film. He did bring the main character “Rang” alive and did a beautiful job borrowing his voice.
If you are looking for a fun movie for your next movie night, be sure to check out Rango and we hope you have as many laughs and memories as we have.
We also received a goodie bag with all kind of Rango goodies from books to water bottle and even a water ball and balloons; the kids had a blast. The Tween already grabbed the book and started reading it to the Toddler.
Rango: The Movie Storybook is a nice addition to the movie. The book itself has pictures from the movie along with Behind the Scene articles and drawings; the book has 48-page retelling of the Paramount film starring Johnny Depp, Abigail Breslin and Bill Nighy.
It is suitable for children aged 4 to 8 years old. An unlikely chameleon hero saves the day in this hilarious, Wild West movie storybook adaptation of "Rango", Paramount’s animated family feature film. In this 48-page retelling of the film, a pet chameleon named Rango is stranded in the desert and finds his way to Dirt, a tumbleweeds town outside Las Vegas inhabited by hundreds of gun-slinging, ten gallon hat-wearing critters. Lost and lonely, Rango bravely straps on a pair of chaps and tells a tall tale that convinces the towns folk to appoint him sheriff.
Unfortunately, Rango blew into Dirt just as the town’s water supply is inexplicably shut off – and the bank’s reserves have been robbed. Everyone is counting on Rango to save the day and before he knows it, he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, rounds up a posse and confronts the Wild West’s outlaws as he tries to out the unlikely villain and restore water to Dirt. This slap-stick, high-noon showdown features full-color photos, as well as the behind-the-scenes sketches and artwork used to create the special effects from the movie.
We loved this book as another take on the movie; the Toddler enjoyed the story a lot and my Tween finished the book in a day; I would defiantly say, read the book before you watch the movie.
