Rubbermaid 8-Piece Glass Food Storage Container Set with Easy Find Lid
All of us probly have a ton of the plastic storage containers in the kitchen and we can never find any of the lids. I know I’m guilty, we even have empty butter containers as “food storage”.
I discovered a new product from Rubbermaid a few weeks ago and really got excited to check it out. They took their wonderful plastic storage containers with the easy to find lids and turned them into glass. Yup, you heard me right, glass! Nowadays pretty much anything you see is plastic, I was super excited to find glass bowls that actually have lids. The best part, the lids are easy to find, they snap to the bottom of the bowl. How cool is that. Besides finding the lid, I loved the idea that the new Rubbermaid Glass line is oven safe and leak proof; that means… you can prepare your dinner or lunch the night before, put the leak proof lid on and then when you are ready, pop it in the oven and get dinner done in no time. All in the same container. That is a HUGE time saver for cooking as well as for cleaning, you only have one dish to clean and not the storage container as well.

I could really use some food storage containers! Right now, our container collection has things like “Cool Whip” and “Cottage Cheese” written on the side! I haven’t bought any good containers because the last set I had got ruined thanks to my husband and son putting them in the microwave, usually with some kind of tomato sauce in them, and nuking them to death. I vowed I wouldn’t get new containers unless they were glass – and glass is expensive!

It just makews sense to serve a dish, cap the leftovers, reheat in the same dish. It saves time and dish washing and the lids are not in a drawer hidingwhen you need them.
