Rubbermaid & Sharpie Holiday Goodies Giveaway

December 5, 2010 By Melanie Roberts

I told all my readers a few days ago that we have this Christmas Tradition where my kids decorate Christmas plates on Christmas eve. Now here is another spin to this tradition.

How about decorating Rubbermaid bowels with Sharpie Permanent markers and use them as gift boxes, you can fill them with goodies, cookies, candy anything you like and give them to the kids Bus driver, teachers, friends even neighbor.

I bet everyone will enjoy the hand painted bowls and will treasure them.

My kids enjoy decorating their Christmas Plates so much that they had been bugging me since December 1st to do it, so last night I surprised them with this Rubbermaid and Sharpie package and they had a ball decorating their own bowls for gift giving.

Check out all the fun they had, even the toddler had a ball.

Here are the creations they came up with.

Now that was a lot of fun, how about a Giveaway to one lucky reader to create the same lasting memories that we have now.

One lucky reader will win this :

Our tradition is baking sugar cookies and decorating them TOGETHER ! My boys help me roll out the dough, they pick out their favorite cutters and cut them out and put on the pan. (They may not make it though the entire batch). Then after they have cooled we frost and decorate them TOGETHER around the kitchen table. They are 14 and 12 now and we have been doing this together since they were able ! It takes some begging these last few years, but they always come around 🙂

Our Christmas tradition includes going to Pizza Hut on Christmas Eve, driving around town looking at Christmas lights, and then heading home to open Christmas presents and eat doughnuts and drink OJ. Christmas day we read the Christmas story and remember the reason for the season 🙂

Everyone in my family opens their presents on Christmas Eve. We eat pizza, go to a movie and go around and see all the Christmas decorations. We also have orange juice and donuts. It is a tradition I have carried on with my family.

A Christmas tradition in my household is lots of holiday baking starting about one month or more prior to Christmas. Everything from shortbread to fudge and squares are baked and stored in the freezer ready to go!

For many years now three generations have gotten together to roll and dip homemade chocolates. It’s fun, and we always have to “test” at least one of each flavor!

We have many, but our favorite is to fill our thermoses with hot cocoa or coffee, get in our jammies and drive around looking at Christmas lights.
    Thanks for the chance.
