I love to add embellishments and stickers and cutouts to all my scrapbook pages, even silk flowers; some of these things aren’t always easy to glue down. If you use the wet glue you run the risk that you have too much glue and the page will get all wavy; if you use a tape runner, you may or may not get all the corners and have a good tight adhesive. So making sure you have the right adhesive for the job can sometimes be challenging.
Let me introduce you to a product that I love and use all the time in my scrapbooks. My all time favorite product is the Sticker Maker, whether it be the small version or the biggest one, I love them all… !!!!
I have the Xyron 150 “X” , which is the smallest version and it retails for about $8-$10, that includes the “machine” and the first tape cartridge and that’s one that I use a lot. You don’t need any electricity, you just drop your item that you want to be turned into a “Sticker” into the top, you pull on the other end on the paper and done.. tear it off and your “sticker” is done.. soo simple; once your product comes out you can peel and stick it to anything!! You can turn buttons into stickers, or my favorite use is actually to use ribbon, run them through the Sticker maker and that’s an easy way to get adhesive on the ribbon so I can attach it to my scrapbook pages… So simple…
I also have the next model up, the Xyron XRN250, this runs about $18-$20, but again, this is well worth the investment. The Xyron 250 is twice as wide as the 150 and will let you turn bigger items like maybe silk flowers or larger cutouts into stickers, just like the Xyron 150 will do, just for a bit smaller items.
I love both of them and these are the two sizes that I use the most; I’ve seen the larger size for like pictures; they look cool but to be honest why would I want to run a large picture through a sticker maker if I can use a tape runner the same way and save some adhesive for my smaller pieces that are hard to glue down? That’s how I look at it.
Another bonus is, either one of the machines adhesive rolls will last a long time; I buy my refills mostly online through Amazon.com or Scrapbook.com and one refill will last me month if I would create scrapbooks every weekend and then some, because you are only using such a small amount. Refills for both the Xyron 150 & Xyron250 run about $5 and up; I always stock up when I see a sale, because I know I will use it over and over….
This is one product I don’t want to miss in my scrapbook room; it’s simple, light weight and will take up hardly any space, BUT it plays a big role in my scrapbooks….
I was not compensated for my review, and all opinions are 100% our own.

wow, that is very cool. I’m trying to get into scrapbooking, and I’m going more the digital route, but we do a lot of craft projects, and Hanna loves to make cards ~ and she LOVES gluing on ribbon. This would be perfect for her. 🙂

It doesn’t surprise me to see that the most recent scrapbooking post is from March. How did you ever manage to fit in making your own stickers and such with all of the rest of family life?

I see now that this is a little dated but I sure hope that they still make these. I want to make a couple of scrapbooks as gifts and don’t want to tie up a lot of money into gadgets! Thanks for the heads up!
