Hip Hip Hooray! It’s back to College time for my Teen. I’m excited and kind of sad but really more excited to see him off to College. It’s gonna be such an exciting year for him. He is a sophomore but starting at a new College a bit further away from home.
He finally got a car a few month ago, it took me forever to let go. It was me, not him! I know this crazy mama just can’t let go. I have no problem at all letting him head off to college and explore the big world but driving well… That was a different story, lots of crazy people on the road, that had me scared.
This past weekend we got all his things ready for the move, his boxes are packed and next weekend we will load the car up to wave goodbye to my baby. That got me an idea, with him being partially on his own, taking care of his own car and we all know how teenagers can be. I made a care kit for his car so he can keep it in tip top shape till he returns home for Christmas break.
You know that I pretty much spend 90% of my life in Walmart so it is to no surprise that I found all the goodies to make my car care kit at Walmart, too.
Check out a few of the items that I found and thought would be good to have in a Car Kit to keep my Teen and his car in tip top shape, there is even a coupon for the Armor All Outlast products, don’t forget to print it. The coupon is available starting 8/7, while supply last and good on Armor All® Outlast Trim & Plastic Restorer, Armor All® Outlast Tire Glaze, Armor All® Outlast Leather Restorer, and/or Armor All® Outlast Protectant.
I also made a checklist that I laminated for my teen to keep in the car with important information listed on the back like Phone Numbers, emergency numbers, as well as a spot to keep car information, his last/next oil change, windshield wiper replacement date, Tire pressure check and left a few lines blank so he can fill in information that he thinks may come in handy while on the road, for a quick reference or emergency situation.
It was super easy to make, if you like feel free to use my template as your guide and add/remove according to your needs or even print it just the way it is.
I can’t let my Teen leave without his favorite Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Brownies. I made a batch to take with him to enjoy on the road. Nothing like treats from home to make you feel more comfortable. The crazy mom that I’m, I made enough for his campus, always good to share. That’s how you make friends, with food.

The Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Brownies are super easy, check out my recipe above and I bet your teen would love them just as much, made with love and a few tears, they will be a welcome goodbye treat.

If you like more info on the Armor All Outlast products I used in my Car Kit, be sure to visit their Facebook or Twitter as well as their website. How will you send your kid off to College in style this year?

Love this idea! I may put together my own car kit to give my son when he gets his car this year – thanks for sharing 🙂
