I love this time of the year, it’s #FreshFromFlorida Blueberry Season! Did you know that Florida has lots of fresh fruits and vegetables every month? There you have 5 amazing reasons why to love Blueberries. I love to dish up one of my grandma’s favorite coffee cake recipe and it is amazing with fresh blueberries. You do know I’m German and we love a good coffee cake in the afternoon. My kids can’t get enough of the Hazelnut Blueberry Bundt cake and keep asking for seconds.
It’s so simple to make, I just had to share it with you in honor of Blueberry season #FreshFromFlorida.
Have I promised too much of the yummy goodness? I know my grandma would have been proud of how the Hazelnut & Blueberry Bundt Cake has turned out. We love to bake with nuts in Germany and hazelnut is one of my favorite.
Here in the US they hardly ever have hazelnut flour or ground hazelnuts, no worries, just pick up a bag of shelled hazelnut at your local grocery store, add them to your blender and grind them up. Doesn’t have to be fancy, just crush them and you are in business for the Hazelnut Blueberry Bundt Cake.
The texture is amazing and so moist with the fresh blueberries… AHhh… just beautiful. Serve it up with a nice hot cup of coffee or tea and enjoy your afternoon. That’s how we roll in Germany and that’s how I roll here in Florida, too. Love bringing a little piece of home closer to all of you to enjoy, too.

My mini-Bundt pan doesn’t get near enough use, and I’m always on the lookout for recipes to use it. This is perfect! Here in Maine, we have tiny, delicious wild blueberries that are in season right now, and mini-Bundt cakes would be a great way to feature those lovely berries. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Anything with blueberries sound good to me. I think my favorite is probably either right off the bush or from thee box and also in crepes.
