I went through some older Halloween Pictures yesterday and came across this cute craft we did when the Teen’s where little. Many, many moons ago. I thought it would be fun to share, because the boys still love to do this with their little sister and your little ones surely would enjoy it as well.
I for the life of me can not carve a pumpkin, must be because growing up in Germany we didn’t have Halloween and Pumpkins like that. So, each year I try to come up with different ideas to decorate our Pumpkins and make them funny looking or scary .. what ever the kids decide.
For this particular Pumpkin we used the Crayola Model Magic Compound , it air dries, making it perfect for the kids to see their results instantly and will be there through Halloween and Thanksgiving as well.
I gave it to the kids and let them have at it…. (you can also use play dough and they can do it over and over again…)
This can be done with little ones as well as older kids any size pumpkin will do… Soo much fun for everyone and a LOT less Mess!!!
Another plus, you can actually use the pumpkin for Thanksgiving to make Pumpkin Pie or all your favorite Pumpkin dishes.

This is a great idea. I am not a very good pumpkin carver myself. We usually carve a few. I like that you can still use the yummy pumpkin later! Thank you for the tip.
