Smart Play Bilingual Puzzle {Review}

Do you have a little Puzzle puzzle fanatic in your house? then I have a treat for you, my Toddler is totally into puzzles from big pieces to little pieces nothing is a challenge for her and she can spend hours sitting working on a Puzzle. She must have gotten the patience from her grandma, she loves puzzles as well. Smart Play Ingenio send us three of their amazing bilingual puzzles to try out.

Our first puzzle was the ABC Learning puzzle, the pieces are large, I would say even a 2 year old would be fine playing with them, sturdy and colorful. The fun part is one side the puzzle has the English letters along with a picture of a product that starts with the letter like A for Airplane of B for ball and if you turn the puzzle piece around you can create the same puzzle in Spanish. So much fun and wonderful for a Bilingual household or someone that is trying to teach their little one a second language.

The Alphabet puzzle when completed has a size of 15×25.5 and can easily be completed by my 3 year old and can also be a conversation piece if you complete it together with your child. What an amazing learning tool this Alphabet puzzle is. This was a HIT in our house and my Toddler’s Spanish teacher at pre-K was totally in love with this as well.

The next puzzle we reviewed was the Animal Learning Puzzle; this one was a bit different than your ordinary puzzle, but a lot of fun. Your child will have to match the animals and the puzzle will have the English and Spanish name of the animal listed. Your toddler will be able to recognize the writing in both English and Spanish before you know it.

The Animal Puzzle was a lot of fun and my Toddler kept asking over and over to play it and for me to help her name the animals. Just like the Alphabet Puzzle the pieces are very sturdy and easy for little hands to grab. This Puzzle once completed will be the size of 14×20 making it a nice size for you toddler to complete.

We had one more Puzzle to check out and this one is no ordinary Puzzle, it’s different but a lot of fun. The Zafari puzzle was also named as “2011 Puzzle of the year “by Creative Child magazine. The fun part about the Zafari puzzle, you have to match the Alphabet to the animal; the front side has real life pictures of an animal like a Flamingo and the back side has a cartoonish drawing of the animal in fun colors. Your little one will need to match the Alphabet to the right animal. This was a bit hard for my Toddler, but with a little help, she was able to complete, I would definitely say a 4 year old should be fine on his own and a 3 year old will be great with mom or dad’s help. Make this a family time and create a puzzle. So much fun. Talk about the animals and the sounds the animals make to get the conversation started with your little one. This Puzzle also is Bilingual just like the other ones in Spanish and English.

We had a lot of fun checking out the Smart Play products and we love most that they are bilingual, some games are even available in French as well as Spanish. Being a Bilingual household ourselves we know how important play is in learning a new language or keeping your child accustomed to a native language outside of your country.
