Lisa Loeb’s Songs for Movin’ and Shakin’: The Air Band Song and Other Toe-Tapping Tunes
We love books in this Crazy Mom’s house and when the newest book from our friends at Sterling Publishing arrived a few weeks ago, we started Movin’ and Shakin’ to say the least. We have yet to stop Movin’ and my Princess is still shakin’. Thanks to a wonderful book from Lisa Loeb and amazing Illustrations by Ryan O’Rourke, we managed to stay warm the last few days of winter a few weeks ago.
This really is a fun book, it comes with a CD and 10 songs recorded by Lisa Loeb to go along with the song. The fun part, some songs the kids may already know like “Hands Shoulders, Knees and toes, knees and toes” and lots of new songs like “Hello Today” to help you start the day or “Wake up” in case your little one has a hard time getting up in the morning.
Each song has two full pages dedicated in the book with wonderful illustrations, lyrics of the song as well as how to move to each song. LOVED it!! This is such a fun book; perfect for homeschooling, Teachers in the class but also families to keep on hand to have a little extra fun in that hectic super crazy day.
My Princess loved the book and her favorite song was Peanut Butter Jelly… of course, we had to play the CD in the car every day as well and she started to shake in the car seat all the way to preschool.
Lisa’s voice is charming and sweet and we love her and the songs. Lisa Loeb is a Grammy Nominated singer/songwriter. She has a platinum-selling No 1 hit “stay (I missed you),” that is worth checking out as well. We love to stomp, clap and dance with pop singer Lisa Loeb and this collection of ten action-packed songs is just the perfect combination for the entire family. Great activities and games accompany these energizing tunes, guaranteed to get you off the couch!
So, the next time you stroll your local Barnes and Nobles or even check them out online looking for a fun family book that will keep everyone on their toes, be sure to check out Lisa Loeb’s “Songs for Movin’ & Shakin”, you will not be disappointed. The book retails for $14.99 and can also be purchased through Amazon.com.
