Simple ideas for a Hot Chocolate Candy Bar #NewTraditions

It’s getting cold outside, or so they say. I guess Florida somehow lost the memo or decided not to participate in the fall and holiday spirit. It’s still in the 90’s here. Can you believe it? Well, to get me and my family in the mood I decided to start some simple but fun #NewTraditions.

#NewTraditions

The holidays are always a lot of fun around my home and when I grew up in Germany, traditions were a big thing. I miss my family a lot this time of the year so it is very important to keep my German traditions alive, but I love to add one or new tradition every year.

Add lots of fun candy toppings for your Hot Chocolate Candy Bar #NewTraditions

Some stick with us, others come and go, this year my plan is to make a long lasting tradition that will be enjoyed by all our friends and family here in Florida. I decided to make a Hot Chocolate Candy Bar with lots of fun items and design. Trust me when I say it was super easy, just follow my 5 must have steps for a Hot Chocolate Candy Bar and you will have a blast and everyone will rave for many Holiday Seasons to come.

Create a fun Hot Chocolate Candy Bar and make #NewTraditions this year

My 5 Must have tips for a simple yet special Hot Chocolate Candy Bar

Lots of different candy and chocolates. The nice thing about a Hot Chocolate Candy Bar is that almost everything can be mixed and matched and turned into an amazing drink. A few of our favorite are Hershey’s Kisses chocolates, they can be eaten alone, shared with friends and even added to your Hot Chocolate for an extra chocolaty flavor. Just love them. Don’t forget to add Reese’s Chocolates and any other Hershey’s Chocolate Chips, they will be a hit in your Hot Chocolate Candy Bar. Hershey’s has lots to choose from to make a candy bar, with everything from morsels to bars, there is lots for everyone to enjoy

A Hot Chocolate Candy Bar doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult, look around your cupboards and use any kind of glass bowls or cups that you have to keep your Hershey’s Kisses chocolates, mints, or anything else that you like to serve at the Hot Chocolate Candy Bar, even look at different size vases that you may have sitting around. Mix and match, it will turn out beautiful, trust me.

Think height. Make sure your Hot Chocolate Candy Bar has a few levels on the table, raise your Hershey’s Kisses chocolates by adding a glass under the bowl or a wooden box to get some drama on your table, more storage and everyone can easily see everything. Again, doesn’t have to be anything fancy, you could even wrap cardboard boxes in your theme colors and use those as “raisers”. Simple as that!

Add lights and decor. Yes! Lights will give it that warm feeling that we all love. Go ahead, wrap a few strings of light around the table and while you are at it, add a few Christmas decor items as well to make it feel Christmassy, if you are hosting a Hot Chocolate Candy Bar for a different event, just add decor to match your event, it can be that easy!

Keep it simple! Don’t stress, your Hot Chocolate Candy Bar will turn out beautiful no matter how you set it up and what you include, that’s the beauty. You can start #NewTraditions and add different things each year, surprise the family with new toppings or try different strange things. Doesn’t mean it has to come back the next year if no one likes it or it wasn’t a hit. You can prepare your Hot Chocolate Candy Bar the night before if you like, keep all Candy under wrap and add the “cold” stuff shortly before guests arrive, OR you could put it together right before guests arrive, it really only takes about 10 minutes to put together and you should have everything at home besides the Candy and the Chocolates probably.

Don't forget to add candy to your Hot Chocolate Bar #NewTraditions

See, creating your very own Hot Chocolate Candy Bar doesn’t have to be difficult, it can be magical in so many ways. Make sure to include lots of Hershey’s Kisses chocolates to spoil your family and friends, a party without Hershey’s Kisses just isn’t a party. Keep them around and share them with good friends often.
