A balanced diet is very important for me and my family; it’s always a challenge to dish up healthy meals all day long. We all know how challenging it can be to make sure your 7 year old eats all her peas and vegetables to ensure she gets all the nutrients to keep her going all day long. As a mom of 3 I know the challenge and struggles all too well.
One kid only eats chicken and no dairy, the other kid only eats beef and loves veggie but no grain products and the third kid well, she would eat candy all day long if I would let her. My kids couldn’t be more different then they already are, yet all three always have the same dinner table. Crazy isn’t it?
With a new year in full swing we are still trying to share some ideas on how we try to balance a healthy diet to keep everyone’s taste buds satisfied. Most importantly, the kids will get the vitamins and nutrition they need without really knowing it. Below are a few of my tricks that I love to sneak into the kids meals to get them the vitamins and nutrients they need in a way they like to eat it.
-
Always buy 100% Florida Orange Juice, that is a must in my house. It’s a naturally nutrient-rich beverage that everyone loves and can be easily served with breakfast, lunch and even dinner.

Create Smoothies with your child’s favorite fruit, add some veggies in the blender as well and top it off with 100% Florida Orange Juice for a tasty afternoon pick me up snack. I love to mix Orange Juice with Carrots in the blender, YUMM. It will also give your skin a glowing tan. Give it a try, drink one a day for a week and you will have a nice skin color, too. Can’t go wrong with that.

Include 100% Florida Orange Juice in salad dressings, give it a little extra kick and a fresh splash when you dish up your favorite greens for dinner. Just mix your favorite oil, vinegar, salt pepper and fresh herbs along with the 100% Florida Orange Juice, mix well and drizzle over your favorite Chicken Salad or green salad, you will love the citrus taste.

Give a little extra treat, I love to add 100% Florida Orange Juice, the way it is, to freeze pops and place them in the freezer, once the kids come home from school, they pull one out and enjoy and afternoon snack. They love the cool, sweet treat and I quietly enjoy the vitamins and nutrients they get from it. Shhh… it will be our secret.
These are a few of my favorite ways to add vitamins and nutrients to our daily live, it’s simple and the kids will love it. They don’t even have to know it, but if they do, I’m sure they don’t mind. 100% Florida Orange Juice is always welcome in our home and honestly, I can’t keep the juice in the fridge. We constantly run out.
There’s something amazing inside each glass of 100% Florida Orange Juice…an “Amazing 5” to be exact. Besides having a delicious taste that’s both refreshing and “amazing” with no added sugar, 8 ounces of 100% Florida Orange Juice is an excellent source of vitamin C and and a good source of potassium and folate! The “Amazing 5” benefits in 100% Florida Orange Juice can be an important part of the family diet.
By simply adding in this naturally nutrient-rich beverage to the family diet, both at breakfast and throughout the day, you can easily make a change to help start the new year right!
How do you add 100% Florida Orange Juice to your diet? Do you have special recipes that you like to share with us? Is there are special treat you prepare? Would love to hear it, leave me a comment below.
