Stinkin’ Thinkin’ Stinks ~ do you Stink? #BookReview

Stinkin’ Thinkin’ Stinks: A Kid’s Guide to the Lighter Side of Life

At first look, I wasn’t too sure what to make of the book that showed up in the mail. I had heard many awesome things about “The Skunks”… But I wasn’t sure if it was something I would read, something for the kids or just hand to a friend.

I haven’t been in the best of mood lately, with being diagnosed with Lupus & Fibro just a few weeks ago, my Princess was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis a few months ago and over the summer my Teen had major food allergies that we just now discovered. All that and a busy full time job at the office sure has brought me down and I’m, using the “Stupid this and Stupid that” more often than I have ever used in my entire life.

I wake up in the morning in pain and my day is already off to a bad start, the office is so busy that I have no time to breathe or think and life is just overwhelming most days… So, sounds like a  normal crazy family that runs 24/7.  I knew something had to change. I can’t change my health issues until the medications maybe, hopefully one day will kick in, I can’t change my baby girls JRA attacks, BUT I can change my thinking, I can make it positive instead of negative.

So, I grabbed the Stinkin’ Thinkin’ Stinks book and started to read it; it works wonders. I spend an afternoon reading the entire book and the strength and power it gave me to turn my bad thoughts into positive thinking; I felt much better, I had energy, I had hope and everything I started to do turned out much easier.

The book is geared towards kids, a fun way of reading with quizzes and techniques to turn your “Stinkin’ thoughts” into positive amazing thoughts. Yes, the book is geared for kids, it is amazing read for every age group. I ‘m in love with the book, the layout is simple, kid friendly but will go straight to the point, a few exercises and you also will be thinking much more positive.

Bill King, the Author of the book did an amazing job to bring across how you can become more aware of negative thought patterns, ways to eliminate negative thinking, he will teach you how to avoid negative “pack” mentality, help you access the positive things in life, he developed techniques for dealing with negative people and situations as well as embrace positivity as your dominant way of thinking.

All that is packed into this little book that has only 111 pages, jam packed I’d say and the price is right as well, $9.99 on Amazon.com; a small price to pay to learn how you can be a more positive person, have a more positive Teenager or friend and make life that much more enjoyable.

I Don't Stink!

I’m slowly on the road of recovery thanks to my Doctors, friends and this amazing book; I know I can change… It’s up to you now… Do you want to think Positive in this Negative world?

For more information about Bill King and his amazing book and positive thinkin’ campaign, be sure to visit him on the Web at I Don’t Stink. He also has an amazing newsletter that will keep you on track and keep positive, so don’t forget to sign up for that; who doesn’t want some GOOD news in their e-mail every so often. He is also on Facebook and Twitter, you know you love your Facebook, so friend him, he would love to meet you.

Sound like a fun and creative way for all to learn to think about positive thoughts and make this world a sweeter place. It would be nice tool for any parent to start teaching children at a very young age on thinking positive. Sorry to hear of all your family health issues. Been offline for quite a few months with a few of our own. Wish I could reach out and give you a big hug, sending prayers your way.

I have heard great things about this book as well. It is easy to get caught up in negative thinking, but that is definitely not the way I want to live.

In a world where we are confronted with the negative, this book is a great skill building experience to turn that negative into positive energy!

I have given it to children and adults alike. So many good lessons to be taken from these pages!
