It’s September, here in Florida that is the start of our outdoor season. We are soooo excited to finally enjoy our outdoors without overheating and looking for a cool room any place we go. But no fear we will enjoy our monthly Netflix movies poolside or on the porch as well and don’t forget to check out my snack idea below.
I was so excited to find out that Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar. YES!!! You heard that right, starting in September we get to stream Disney movies galore, I’m sure your favorite will be available, too. Totally worth checking out.
But we are also excited for the new and exclusive Netflix Original movies including Mascots from the master of low-key comedy Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind) and War Machine, from acclaimed Australian director David Michod and starring Brad Pitt, in the serio-comic tale of the U.S. military adventure in Afghanistan.
A few movies we watched in September are:
-
Tinkerbell: Lost Treasure ~ This was the first movie my daughter wanted to watch as soon as it appeared on the Netflix stream, she watched it I think 5 times by now and is planning on watching any other Tinkerbell shows in the near future, she is totally Tinkerbell obsessed.
-
Tarzan the 1999 version. I love this one, I watched it when the boys were little all the time and now can watch it with my daughter, she loved it!
-
Tarzan 2 ~ If you watch one you can’t watch Tarzan 2, it’s so much fun, the entire family loved it!
-
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl ~ This was an awesome family night, even my oldest son came home to hang out with us to watch his favorite Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
-
Atlantis: Milo’s Return: Super cute movie that I’ve always wanted to watch and then somehow forgot about, now we took the time and loved it!
A few movies that are on our list for the remainder of the month:
-
Zootopia ~ I’m so excited, this will hit Netflix on September 20th, we are so counting down and planning our movie night, are you?
-
Fantasia ~ I bet you all remember this one from back in the day. My daughter has never seen nor heard of it, I’m excited to plan a movie night for her and see what she thinks of the movie.
-
Inspector Gadget: My boys used to love that movie so we are planning a night to remember and include this movie so they can walk down memory lane as well.
-
Dumbo: My all time favorite movie as a little girl was great to create memories with my daughter by watching this movie as a mom-daughter movie night. Sure was fun and I did remember most of the scenes.
-
Chicken Little: This movie has been my son’s favorite the moment it was released in 2005 and he truly was like Chicken Little. We still to this day call him Chicken Little and recite some of the phrases in the movie. We loved it and I can’t wait to watch it soon.
I’m telling you September has been an awesome month so far and I can not wait to see what October has in store for us indoors, outdoors and all around the Netflix World and with the addition of many Disney Movies we will never run out of stream time, that’s for sure.
A great snack that we made was the Pumpkin Spice Muddy Buddies, they are so easy to make and the kids loved them, check out the recipe you will be able to switch out your favorite colors, flavors and anything you like to customize it to you and your family and maybe even to the movie you are streaming.
Would love to hear your excitement about the Disney collaboration with Netflix and can’t wait to hear your favorite shows that are streaming in your home. Leave me a comment below and share your excitement, I’m sooo excited and can’t stop talking about it.
As a reminder, I’m part of the Netflix Stream Team and I was compensated or received products for this post.
