I did a little surfing and went to my favorite German recipe page called Kochbar.de and while I was there I found a wonderful recipe for my Brunch Sunday. We had some mangos and Cream cheese in the house so I had to give this a try….It turned out yummy… and different… We loved it, the kids couldn’t get enough of it

This is what you need:
1 ripe Mango, peeled
½ pack of Cream Cheese
1 cup of sparkling water
½ cup of milk
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sugar to taste
This is how to make this:
Peel the mango, cut in cubes, add everything to your blender and blend away….. will make 4 cups of yummy Mango Shake…

It is so amazing sometimes to find recipes that people have created that we might never consider on our own…and then find them so yummy. Hehe.
Happy Easter! I am stopping by from Mom-Bloggers-Linky and am following your blog. 8^)

Blech…cream cheese again? Do you know of any substitutes for it? I’m thinking mascarpone, ricotta or quark.
mausekind says
I would love Quark.. BUT we don’t have that in the south… I also use yogurt and sometimes ricotta.. never seen mascarpone either :-(…. but anything would go… sometimes I even leave the “cream” out and just use the mango and juice…. and ice… yummy, too 🙂

We love mango smoothies, will give it a try…but we might replace half of the cream cheese with vanilla lowfat yogurt, to cut down on the fat !
