As most of you know, I love me some coffee; whether it be HOT black coffee, flavored with milk, cream or Iced coffee, I’m addicted to them all. When we went home to Germany over the summer, I was in Coffee heaven; we had a coffee break every afternoon at 3pm, with cake, whip cream and all. I sooo miss it. But I try to keep that 3PM Coffee break for now; my little excuse to take a break.
I love Iced Coffee, especially now since it’s so HOT in the Sunshine state and I used to stop in at one of those fancy Coffee shops and picked up one of those Fancy Iced coffees many afternoons. Little did I know that it’s super easy to make an Iced Coffee. My aunt in Germany actually made it and I couldn’t believe how simple it was; I just had to share it with you guys, why make it difficult if it doesn’t have to be?
I went to Walmart and picked up a bag of Seattle’s Best Coffee, they had Vanilla flavor…yumm; but any of the Seattle’s Best Coffee will do; pick up a carton of Vanilla Ice Cream and whip cream, if you want some chocolate chips, pick those up, too, while you are there…… I can’t just go to Walmart and pick up one item. For some reason I always end up spending a fortune, do you feel the same way? We are in the middle of renovating the kids room, so we checked out the paint area, I just love the colors that Walmart has to offer; we also checked out the Clearance Summer section, lots of cool stuff from patio Sets to Summer Dishes are on sale… LOVE it. Of course, hubby and the kids had to get a round of Wii in before we left, too. Do your kids play at Walmart, too?
Once we had all our goodies, I couldn’t wait to check out to get home and spoil myself with a Simple Iced Coffee, I guarantee you will make this simple Iced Coffee over and over and save a LOT of money by not stopping by one of those Specialty Coffee Houses, now you can have your very own Specialty drink in under 2 minutes in your very own home for a fraction of the cost….. Are you excited???
This is what you need for the Simple Iced Coffee:
1 cup HOT Fresh brewed Coffee – Seattle’s best was my choice… Yumm…
2 Spoon full of Vanilla Ice Cream
Dash Cocoa Powder
Chocolate chips (if you like)
This is how to make it… So Simple and ready in 2 minutes……
- Add 2 Scoops of Ice Cream to your cup
- take the HOT freshly brewed coffee and pour directly over your Ice Cream
- Add some Heavy Whip Cream….
Voila….. Easy Breezy Simply Ice Coffee…… Can’t be any easier, but SOO Delicious…..
Now, did I tell you too much? It sure was super easy…. hope you enjoyed the quick Iced Coffee and spoil yourself more often. If you have a Iced Coffee Creation, too, I have a Sweepstake for you; why don’t you head over to Seattle’s Best Facebook page and enter your own drink creation for a chance to win $10,000!!! and have your drink featured in Seattle’s Best Coffee Shops…..

That looks so good and I’ll be coping this recipe and using it over the weekend. I haven’t tried Seatlle’s Best yet but will pick some up and give it a try.

That’s the missing ingredient I was looking for… ice cream! My initial try at iced coffee was missing a bit of sweetness, that would do it!

I’m having one of those “duh, why didn’t I ever think of that?” moments right now. Looks so yummy! Will have to try the Seattle’s Best Vanilla, that sounds yummy for hot coffee or for iced coffee this summer, too.

That looks AWESOME, I love that you don’t have to cool the coffee down and it just melts the ice cream. YUM.
