As a busy mom of 2 Teenagers and Princess along with 3 fur babies things can be crazy around here and if you have been reading my blog you also know that I’m somewhat of a cleaning queen. Growing up in Germany we were raised that the girls always keep dinner on the table and a clean house and even though I’ve moved to Florida when I was 18 and work full time I still have the urge to dish up delicious dinners and keep my house spotless, some say you could eat off my floors… Yeah… I’m just a little obsessed… Just a small tinny bit… Blame it on being German if you will.
I love to clean and I love to check out products that would make my life as a crazy mom and housekeeper a little easier so I can spend more time with my family instead of running around with a mop and broom all day. I’ve tried about everything out there and for years I’ve complaint to my husband that no matter what I use to clean the mirrors, the stainless steel appliances or the windows there is always streaks, residue from the cloth or paper towels or yes… hair from the dog if I grabbed the wrong towel to wipe it down… drives me CRAZY!!
I love the combination of vinegar and a few drops of Dawn dish detergent in a spray bottle, it always gets the job done and cuts the grease super easy, but have yet to find a durable product that would dry my surface to hold up to my strict clean standards. That is… Till the other day… OMG… I got a surprise package! You don’t know how hard it was to keep this brand new Bounty product under wraps, it was a challenge to say the least.
I cleaned the counters, the dishes, the stove and every time the doorbell rang I had to run and hide the product in fear that someone would find out that Bounty has a brand new product available… You see… I was told … Whatever you do… Clean, clean, clean and don’t tell till we release the product and BOY that was the hardest thing EVER for me to do. Normally if it’s a simple product … not a problem… BUT this was such a super cool product that I immediately fell in love with… I had to refrain from jumping on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to shout it out to all of you a few days ago… It is THAT AWESOME!!
Ohhhh, that sure felt good that I can FINALLY announce that as of March 2015 (you all better mark your calendars… HECK… Set your alarm clock to hit the store the second… Not minutes… you heard me right.. SECONDS… This new Bounty product hits the store shelf… On a second note… You need to hurry and beat me to the store I may stock up on them ALL… I’m THAT excited!!) Bounty has a brand new product hitting store shelves, it’s for me at least, the best thing since… Well… Peanut Butter… Sliced Bread… Coffee… I’m that excited to share the NEW Bounty with you!
Gosh… I’ve rambled on and on in excitement and have yet to tell you what the new product is called nor what it does… are you interested in hearing why I’m sooo excited? I’m sure you are!
Without further ado here is the NEW Bounty with Dawn. It is a specially designed 2 in 1 cleaning product that combines an ultra-durable Bounty paper towel with the cleaning power of Dawn infused right into the towel. Bounty with Dawn will stand up to even tough messes and stays intact, like a dishcloth while cleaning. Bounty with Dawn is great for pots and pans, countertops, stovetops, glass, granite, stainless steel and mirrors. The innovation of Bounty with Dawn provides a unique solution to your cleaning regimen. While regular Bounty is still recommended for your everyday messes and spills, Bounty with Dawn can blast through tough grease and dried up food.
As you can guess, I put the new Bounty with Dawn to the test, MY test… I had a sink full of dishes and I used one sheet to wash them all! That’s not all, the ultra-durable Bounty paper towel was still in perfect shape so I cleaned the counters, the stove, the microwave and all my stainless steel appliances and the paper towel wasn’t ready to give in at all! I have to admit, I was ready for a break, but Bounty had me challenged, no slacking on the job, so we kept going and wiped down all the tables and in the end my daughter found some places that I had totally forgotten about and checkout how much dirt (I’m totally ashamed… This clean crazy mama cannot believe I had THAT much dirt on my stove drawer… whaaa… BUT it all worked out in the end) she picked up with the NEW Bounty with Dawn and how it looked AFTER I rinsed it out… Think it was ready to be tossed in the trash?
Think again, the NEW Bounty with Dawn was still not done! Well… This mama was ready to toss in the towel and take a rest anyways. I was very pleased that I was able to clean my entire kitchen with one (1) YES… 1 single Bounty with Dawn sheet, saving me time, money and aggravation since no streaks, no fuzz and no hair was left behind on my surfaces. All was shiny and sparkling clean!
Now that I have bragged and bragged some more about how much I love this new Bounty with Dawn, I think it’s time for you to pick up your very own, trust me… You will never ever be without Bounty with Dawn ever! I’m a frugal mama, you know I hate spending money on things I don’t have to or things I could DIY somehow, BUT I honestly will tell you I will spend my money for the Bounty with Dawn roll, which retails for about $2.79 and has 59 sheets per roll. Money well spend if I can say goodbye to the fuzz (and dog hair) on my glass surfaces and counters forever! A small price to pay, that’s for sure!
-
A wet sheet of Bounty with Dawn paper towel produces results that are 4X cleaner than a used dishcloth.
-
Bounty’s newest product innovation is the thickest, strongest Bounty, with 70% more fibers in each sheet to absorb messes and cloth-like durability to hold up to tougher tasks.
-
When activated by water, the cleaning power of Dawn is released into the porous towel so the grease fighting suds capture the mess. Bounty’s absorbent structure holds the grease inside until it is rinsed and wrung out, which means you can use one sheet on multiple messes.
Well… My Job is done here… I have a spotless house again and I have extra time to hang out with my family at our brand new pool in the backyard (Well… So far we only have a dirt pit that I wish I could use Bounty with Dawn on to make it look nice and clean in no time…you don’t know how hard it is for me to see this dirt all day… yikes… but it will be done soon… so they tell me… lol).

I love Bounty. I would like to try the new Bounty Dawn. I would use it for cleaning around the kitchen

I can see using these for quick clean up jobs like the pets getting sick or spilled food. As far as everyday use this seems wasteful on a couple of levels. The cost of paying for two name brand products, and how many more trees will die to keep up with the demand.

I hear ya Debra, but honestly I love to use disposable for cleanup and this actually works really well, I can get my entire kitchen cleaned and wiped down with one towel, I think that makes it worth it to me, that’s not just a small wipe down that’s wiping down every counter, every appliance and so on. But it will work great for just about anything.. thanks for checking out my post, always love to hear from readers and value their opinion, too 🙂

I may sound dumb but, really, what does “DIY” mean? I see this everywhere and can’t figure it out!
I like the idea of the new Bounty w/Dove already part it but wonder where I can find it. At one point, the message states that it will be in stores around March 11th; however, some comments indicate that some people have already used it? Confusing…
Can it work in bathrooms also???

Hi Gina, sorry to confuse you, I believe the release of the product was sooner then what I was first told, I saw a Target ad the other day that had them and I believe they should be nationwide very soon if they aren’t everywhere yet. YES.. works beautifully in the bathroom… Just think no more germs on those cleaning rags. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we are, it’s a lifesaver in our home for sure…Oh DIY is Do It Yourself 🙂 thanks for stoping by and leaving me a note.. always love to hear from my readers

Wow! I just saw these in the store a couple of days ago & wondered why I had never heard of them. My first thought was how nice they would be to take on a picnic. I generally wet a paper towel or washcloth with water and a couple of drops of Dawn, put it in a ziploc bag & take it with us. They would be nice for picnics and I thought of keeping a couple in the glove box for unexpected cleanups. I didn’t buy them at the time, but they will be on my shopping list this week! I have to admit that it didn’t occur to me to use them for all the jobs you mentioned, but I am excited to try!
I use a clean dishcloth every day. The amount of bacteria that live in dishclothes and kitchen sponges is astounding and even rinsing in hot water does not decrease t
the levels as much as we think. When we use a ‘dirty’ dishcloth to wipe down counters, the stove, the baby’s highchair tray, etc. it’s spreading all that bacteria. YIKES! Using a fresh Bounty with Dawn sheet would help alleviate that problem. That alone is reason enough to use them, but knowing that they hold up to so much cleaning makes them even better.
I can relate to Debra’s concerns, I try to take into consideration the toll that any product I use takes on the environment. I use cloth napkins and cleaning cloths, however they have to be washed using electricity, water and detergent. If these clothes are as tough as you say (and I believe you) then all it would take is one to clean the kitchen and one to clean the bathroom, that would be saving on the amount of cloths that need to be washed in hot water using a disinfectant.
I am curious about how they work on glass and stainless steel. The photos look great and you mentioned they don’t leave streaks. Did you use them towards the end of your cleaning when much of the detergent had been rinsed out? Did you need to use another papertowel to dry? Did you need to use vinegar & water or Windex as well?
I just discovered your blog and am excited! Thanks for the info!

Hi Jayne; Thanks for checking us out and I loved your comment. To answer some of your questions from my view/experience it works great on Stainless steel and glas, without leaving streaks. If my towel is very soapy I run across the surface with a dry paper towel just to eliminate soap on the surface, however I cleaned my window the other day and did not wipe it with a dry paper towel and it dried beautifully, too. I totally hear you about the cloth towels that they are nice but still need drying and washing, I only use one towel when cleaning my kitchen and use one for the bathroom, so for me it works really well, all the way to the end of your cleaning job. My kitchen is an average size so not too big, I do love that I can eliminate germs from being moved around from room to room. What a great idea about taking them in the car or taking them for a picnic, never thought of it. I’m frugal with things but these I love, my kids know I will yell if they use more then one at a time… cause it works that well. I also used one to “mop” my kitchen floor, just to get some of the mid week dirt off the floor and it worked really well… When u try them would love to hear if I bragged too much or if you like them as much as I do, so be sure to drop me a line or leave a Facebook comment 🙂

That’s where I’d use them the most. In the bathroom! My husband would grab one to take out to the shop;-) These might ACTUALLY get my “crew” to help me clean!! Lol (at least til the new wears off! :-))
