Throwback to the 90’s #CrispyIsBack and I’m soo excited

I’m not sure about you, but sometimes I miss the good ol’ days. I find myself often thinking about how much fun I had growing up in the 80’s and 90’s and all the fund products we had that our kids will never know about. A lot of times I mention something to my kids and they look at me like I lost my mind, especially if I say “Ohhh I wish I had such and such to eat right now”. Does that sound familiar?

Imagine my excitement when I walked through Walmart the other day, well, walking is an exaggeration, I usually run and grab all the items we have on our shopping list, and something green caught my eye. I had to stop and check out this bright green M&M’s® packaging and quickly realized that a blast from the past is BACK!!

YES!!! M&M’s® Crispy are back! I wasn’t dreaming, hallucinating nor making up a story, they are back in different size packaging and available at your local Walmart, whohoooo!! Finally something I can share with my kids. Well… on a second thought… Do I really want to share them?

Oh I have fond memories of the M&M’s® Crispy, it was 1999 I remember like it was yesterday and I saw these little M&M’s® Crispy for the very first time, a friend had them for snack and shared them with me. That right there changed my entire world. The sad part, they weren’t available in Germany, where I was at the time, only if you were part of the military.

Good news for me, I had lots of American friends, however I had to beg, barter and trade to get a few packages of these super yummy M&M’s® Crispy. Ohhh I’m so excited that now I can freely walk into Walmart and pick up as many packages as I want without trying to figure out how many stickers I would have to trade to get a package. Good ol’ days, don’t want to trade them for the world, but glad they are over! Hello 2015!

I couldn’t help but grab like 10 of these small snack size packages while on my shopping trip at Walmart, I could have taken the big bag, but if I eat a small bag at a time I don’t feel as guilty, they are smaller, right? After all, the small snack size package of M&M’s® Crispy is only 180 calories, not bad at all and makes for a great afternoon pick me up snack.

I keep some by my computer so when I get all my blogging done I can reward myself with one bag of the M&M’s® Crispy, that’s a great plan, right? The sad part, once you eat one you can’t stop, the good part, since I grabbed the smaller snack size packages, it makes it easy to stop once the bag is done. Till you open the next bag! Just call it relaxation, reflecting on good ol’ days or just good ol’ splurging, whatever you call it, you will love them!
