I’m a big fan of Sterling Children’s Books and love reading their books with my children. I was super excited when a package arrived the other day with two fun looking books inside. Little did I know how much I would fall in love with the entire series.
The Book Little Chipmunk’s Wiggly, Wobbly Tooth and Little Raccoon Learns to Share showed up at my house and at first glance I saw a beautiful illustrated cover by Lisa McCue. I loved that the main characters actually have a glossy picture and the rest of the cover is just a regular dull background. Very beautifully done!
At that moment I realized that the books written by Mary Packard are actually part of a series called “Watch me Grow”. I loved the books!
Watch me grow is a fun series with 4 books currently on the market and I hope she has many more in the works. The books will teach your little ones about everyday life lessons, like the Little Chipmunk’s Wiggly, Wobbly Tooth book.
When you read the story to your little one they will quickly realize that the story isn’t just about a Chipmunk, no it is about them as well. We all know that at some point kids will lose their front teeth, how dramatic and branding this can be to a child. reading the story with your child will help them cope and realize that they are not alone. Little Chipmunk fell embarrassed about losing his front tooth and not knowing who to talk to, he was worried and scared, just like our little ones will feel like when it’s their turn for the first tooth to come loose. In the end little chipmunk was ensured that this is totally normal and everyone will lose their baby teeth making him enjoy life again and not be embarrassed about missing a tooth. I loved the story, so kid friendly written in short paragraphs that will keep your little one entertained and on the edge.
The second book “Little Raccoon Learns to Share” is again written by Mary Packard and beautifully illustrated by Lisa McCue. Both did an amazing job in relaying the message about sharing. The short paragraphs will keep the kids asking for more and animate them to find ways to share with their friends as well. I loved the pictures and the font used in the book. It is truly a fun, yet learning book for your little ones to teach valuable life lessons.
I can not wait to see more of the “Watch me grow” series, Mary Packard did a wonderful job and I hope she will publish many more lessons in the next few months. My princess truly enjoyed listening to the stories at bed time and I had a blast reading them to her.
I can honestly say… WE LOVED the books. They would be a fun addition to your little ones Easter basket and shouldn’t be missed in any kids Books library.

Where to purchase:
You can purchase this book through Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles.com or any of your favorite book store, the books retails for $7.95, making it a very affordable Easter gift for any little boy or girl. I also think the price is very well set for under $8. Very high quality and lovely colors and illustration. Job well done Ms. Packard and Ms. McCue.

I love these and the illustrations are beautiful. These should be in my Grandma bag for my next ‘Grandma story telling and reading session’. It would be so cute to have the Little Chipmunk’s Wiggly, Wobbly Tooth book to read when kids have loose teeth. Love your review.
