I don’t know when the last time was, I was that excited over a product in my kitchen. But I’m super excited to tell you all about Yonanas. What.. you haven’t heard of Yonanas? Well… no worries, neither did I until a few weeks ago and now I can’t imagine living without it.
As part of our Happy and Healthy 2013 plan we are also trying to watch what we eat. Hubby even signed up for Weight Watchers to help him lose some weight and I kind of follow along and eat only healthy things. We are also watching the prepared meals and packaged food and try to eliminate as much as we can and truly eat good; all 5 of us.
Of course as many of you know, being on a diet isn’t always fun. You have to eat less, skip dessert altogether or maybe only eat Jell-O. Well.. let me tell you, there is a new Sheriff in town and I’m loving it. No more bland Jell-O because it’s 0 points on weight watchers; nope not for this Crazy Mom!
The day Yonanas moved into our crazy home was a blessing and changed all our dessert ideas; we all have our own likes and dislikes but this super fun Yonanas machine won’t back down, she will prepare everyone’s favorite fruit into a velvety soft serve ice cream within minutes.
The best part, you use nothing but very ripe frozen Bananas and any other frozen fruit you like to add to create your very own soft serve ice cream experience at home and 0 points on your Weight Watcher list if you are counting!
Now how does it work you ask? It’s simple; Yonanas is similar to your blender, with a base that has a motor; an attachment with a very sharp blade and a shoot to toss your frozen Bananas, fruit and yes cookies (if you aren’t counting your calories or for a special treat) in and at the other end velvety soft serve ice cream emerges. It’s that simple.
All parts (besides the motor base of course) are completely removable and dishwasher safe, making clean up a breeze. That came in handy , you don’t want to clean the kitchen appliance before you get to eat your treat or even after you enjoyed your Yonanas treat… nope toss in the dishwasher and then it will be ready for the next day when it’s Yonanas time again.
Am I excited or what….?? I think you should be, too. There are millions of recipes that you can try with this Yonanas machine from simple fruit ice cream to creations like pumpkin pie or even sorbets (if you leave the Bananas out you will get fruit sorbet… YUMM).
I know this will help us achieve our goal in being healthy and happy in 2013 without a doubt. If you don’t like bananas, trust me if you use very ripe (those ugly brown looking nanas.. Yuck. I usually don’t touch them.. BUT.. they are amazing in this!!) Bananas, add some of your favorite fruit maybe a bit of vanilla and you will not.. I really mean NOT taste the banana taste it is THAT good!!
In one of my creations I used Bananas; they weren’t the very sweet ripe ones (hubby heard that I was getting a Yonanas and wanted to help out and tossed the green nanas into the freezer.. well.. I forgot that they weren’t sweet and used them)… and Well….. it was ok, but not as awesome as the first batch with the very very ripe nanas… so remember to use very ripe Bananas, freeze for at least 24h before you make the dessert and you will be good to go and totally in heaven.
The picture above has frozen cherries and Bananas mixed into a delicious “0” point dessert… can’t get any better than that.. or wait.. there are many more creations, endless creations to be exact to try.. AHHHHHH and all while losing weight. Remember on Weight Watchers fruits are 0 points.. so create away and let me know what your favorite creation is or would be….. I’m soo excited, how about you?
Where to buy it?
You can grab your very own Yonanas through Amazon.com or any of your favorite retailer; but this week ( Jan 13 – Jan 19, 2013) Target actually has an awesome deal on the Yonanas $49 and you get a $10 Target Gift Card back; perfect time to try it out and I know it is worth every penny and then some.
For more information be sure to visit Yonanas on the web, they have amazing recipes posted on their website as well as friend them on Facebook, many of their friends post recipe ideas and tips that you don’t want to miss and of course you can Tweet along with Yonanas as well on Twitter.
We received the product for our honest review; all opinions are 100% our own and no other compensation was nor will be received. Affiliated links may be included in the post. I was not asked to write about the product or write a positive review if we didn’t like it.. BUT this product is hands down one of our favorite product of 2013!!!!

How cool is that?! Definitely going to have to put this on our wish list of gadget to get! I’d love to have the kids eating frozen fruit instead of ice cream and could absolutely get into making fruit sorbet (for me!) Thanks for sharing!
