About 5 months ago I introduced you guys to a new cheap wireless plan through Walmart. I have used our plan all summer and I can honestly say #FamilyMobileSaves is the best thing that has happened to us all summer and will for a long time to come.
We have saved a bundle over our old contract phone service, each month we pay $40 (plus applicable tax) for unlimited text, talk and web and couldn’t be happier. The bill comes each month for the same amount, no more overages, no more running out of web time; it’s all in one and we can budget for the phone each month.
Our prior cell phone service was a contract phone and once the contract was up and the opportunity for a NO-Contract phone through Walmart sounded like a great option, we jumped on the opportunity without knowing if the service was anything like we had with our Contract phone. Now 5 months later we know better. We are LOVING our cheap cell phone plan that is nothing short of “cheap” at all. Everything I want and need is part of the low cost plan and I feel like I made a big jump into the new technology age with a fancy smartphone that even I, the frugal Mom, is willing to afford.
Check out my comparison chart so you can see how much we are saving; loving that of course, but besides the saving we are also a HAPPY costumer. I can’t complain a bit about the service, even after 5 months of use I have no complaint at all. I have service everywhere and anywhere I go; no dropped calls at all and my TXT messages are always delivered to my recipients.
As you can see, we are loving our plan still, after months of usage we have nothing to complain, not even one little nitpick thing; everything is perfect and I couldn’t be more in love with my no-contract, cheap wireless plan.
I’m also loving the unlimited web option; I’m able to check my e-mail anywhere, anytime and I can talk to my family and friends on Facebook or Twitter while on the go. We spend a Family weekend getaway in Daytona this weekend and I was thankful for my cheap wireless plan that also offers 3G (up to 1MB included in your monthly plan).
My Tom-tom decided to give me a route to Daytona 2 hours out off the way, showing me every single red-light camera on the way, well; that wasn’t acceptable, we quickly pulled out our #FamilyMobileSaves phone and routed our GPS to our destination and low and behold our arrival time was cut by close to 90 minutes from what the Tom-tom told me… SOOOO glad I had my cheap cell phone with me; I would have been lost with my Tom-tom (and yes… I said #URFired to my navigation system after that).
I was so glad that my no contract phone was able to get us to our destination quickly and once we arrived I also was able to find dinner for the night; all through my cheap wireless smartphone and no worries at all. I was able to research restaurants in the area, find menus, ratings and what other people had to say all on my phone. It was a lifesaver for our weekend getaway and I’ had no phone or connection issues at all; even 2 hours away from my home station and out on an island with very limited main land access.
Now you have an update on how well the phone and the cheap wireless no contract plan from Walmart is working for us, even after 5 months of usage. The plan has saved me many times and we are actually in the process of buying a second line for my Teen. His contract phone is about done and he will enjoy all the features on the new no contract phone through Walmart; especially the unlimited web and TXT plan option, because no more “STOP TEXTING”… if he goes over his allotted txt messages. Do you know just how many TXT’s teenagers send a month? Boy, check your teen’s phone and that alone is worth the switch to the unlimited TXT, talk and web plan through Walmart.

This makes so much more sensee than having a huge contract obligation. I use this option and have really saved alot over others I know. In fact this is my first cell phone and I am continuing doing it this way.
