I don’t know about you, but my kids love to snack all the time. I try to have something simple ready for them when they come home from school every day but even in-between meals they try to sneak a few snacks in here and there and while I’m a chocolate lover they love peanut butter. What snack person are you?
While shopping at Walmart the other day I ran into this very nice lady who held a store demo for Reese’s spreads, she handed me an apple slice and a spoon full of this Reese’s spreads and told me this stuff is addictive I just had to try it. I kind of looked at the lady a little strange but ok, I love freebies and #AnySnackPerfect while shopping, right? OMG… it was AMAZING, this lady was right! She nicely showed me the way to the aisle to grab my very own jar and my mind started to churn. There is a new sheriff in town, move over jelly and move over chocolate, Reese’s spreads is here and I bet it’s here to stay!
Based on the iconic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, new Reese’s Spreads will make snacking even more delicious by adding the unique, one-of-a-kind combination of chocolate and peanut butter flavors to any food, anytime, anywhere. I’m already sold and hooked, they better never remove this from the shelf ever!
Once I grabbed my Reese’s spreads and some fruit, I knew I wanted to surprise the kids with some Fruit & Reese’s spreads sandwich kabobs, they would love them and it would be a simple snack that I can dish up anytime even during parties. Think Holiday parties….!!
Fruit Kabobs are so simple and can be customized to your own taste and to every season, just take your favorite fruit, use a cookie cutter to cut out fun sandwich shapes and you are ready to assemble your Fruit & Reese’s spreads Kabobs.
Spread just a little bit of the Reese’s spreads on the sandwich bread, a little will go a long way. Once you have your Kabobs assembled take a plastic baggie, add a spoonful of Reese’s spreads and place in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds (do not seal the bag), once the Reese’s spreads is warm and melted take out of the microwave and seal bag, cut the bottom tip off and start drizzling the hot Reese’s spreads across your Fruit & Sandwich Kabobs and enjoy! It’s that simple!
I made mine a little fancy and added colorful tape to the ends, taped it together and cut a small wedge, that’s it. Looks fancy, but it’s simple.
The fun thing, these Kabobs can be served during your next party, during the holidays or any event you may have not “just” for the kids to snack on. My husband quickly grabbed a Kabob for his lunch and the kids all asked for more, too. The Reese’s spreads was the perfect combination with the fruits, nutty, sweet and oh so chocolaty. Who could resist?
I’m already dreaming up lots more recipe ideas to use this Reese’s spreads in, like cookies and cakes maybe some pancakes and oh the possibilities are endless but one thing I know for sure, the days of the old PB&J’s are long gone in this house. #CollectiveBias
How would you enjoy this new Reese’s spreads? I bet you can come up with some delicious ideas, too. Share them with us below,

What a fun way to use the spread! We haven’t tried it yet, but I think putting it on ice cream would be dandy. I like that it’s spreadable.

I love that the Reese’s Spread tastes like a melted Reese’s Cup. I spread it on a spoon then on my tongue. I’ve eaten a whole jar that way. I guess I should try it in a recipe!
