I’m so excited that summer is finally on the way and we can spend lots of time in the pool and on our deck; I love to entertain and host Pizza parties all the time and this year to kick of Summer I have a few special recipes up my sleeve that I will be dishing up for some of our Summer Parties to entertain our friends. We love BBQ & Grilling and this year we will dish up a Gourmet Pizza along with Cherry Scones and a few special non alcoholic drinks for everyone to enjoy.
I spend a few hours at my favorite place in the World, World Market to see what fun things they have that I could use for my Pizza Party to say Goodbye to the School year and hello to Summertime. I always get lost at my World Market, there are SOOO many fun things hat I want, need to have or should get just in case I decide to throw another party. I could go hog wild, but thanks to my hubby who always goes with me, I stay within my budget, even though a blink blink and I have him wrapped around my finger and may get a few extra items that weren’t on my list. 
The first thing that came to mind was a Gourmet Pizza on the grill, a little ala German style without Tomato Sauce but rather a Cream Cheese & Cottage Cheese mixture, we call it “Schmand” in Germany and it’s delicious to use in cakes or on Pizzas. Since World Market has a lot of my favorite European products I knew exactly what to get to make this an amazing Pizza that everyone would rave about.
So simple, but fantastic outcome. The products we picked up at World Market were the MINASSO dried Tomatoes from Italy and the Daniele Italian Brand Spicy Gourmet Pack includes Hot Calabrese, Pepper Salami and Hot Capocollo. Love the Hot Calabrese, soo good on the Pizza.
I can’t have a Pizza party without some refreshing drinks to keep us cool and I had lots to choose from at World Market; they have so many different Sodas and Waters from all around the World. I did end up with an idea to make Raspberry Egg Cream Soda and you will be surprised that no Egg nor Cream was used and it is delicious and super simple. Still have no idea why my Mom calls it Egg Cream Soda. Oh well… Call it what you like but try it, you will love it.
World Market had a lot of different Syrup flavors to choose from, too many for me to decide. I stuck with my trusted Raspberry flavor and since I never had that particular Torani Raspberry Syrup, I only got a small bottle. Big Mistake… It was delicious and now I wished I had the big bottle, but you know what that means, YUP… another trip to World Market.
You have to have a delicious dessert for your Party and I wanted something that was simple to make, refreshing and not too sweet and I love the Pitted Sour Cherries in a jar from world Market. They are super affordable and remind me of home. We always had cherries in a jar and we used them for many delicious desserts and baking dishes. I love that I can grab a jar for under $4 and create some memories with my family. Have you seen my German Walnut & Cherry Coffee cake a few weeks back? I used the same cherries. SOO good!
Okay enough talk about Cherries, I grabbed a box of the original Scones mix and decided I would turn it into a Cherry Scones and dish them up for Dessert, maybe with a cherry Milk Shake or Cherry Soda.
There you have my ideas for this years Pizza Party; I know it will be a hit and all the items I found at World Market make it possible for me to bring a little bit of Europe and my German heritage to our party in the middle of Florida and all my readers across the nation. You have given me some great ideas for the grand kids next visit. I have a Worlds Market in Daytona (wish I had one closer to me such as located in The Villages or Ocala, FL but I’ll try and get some of these things when I pick them up and try this wonderful Raspberry Egg Cream Soda and the pizza on the grill would be such a great way to let them have a pizza without heating up the kitchen. It is really simple and you will love it.. JUSt make sure you have all your ingredients right there with you, it will cook super fast!!!
