I remember when I first tried Tapioca Pudding it was the summer of 1997 when I arrived in the US. Fresh of the plane, only spoke broken English, young, scared and a baby in my hand. Well, he was 18 months and my husband was already at his assigned duty station down in the desert. I remember after a long flight both my son and I needed something to eat and I found this #tapiocapudding. I thought it was vanilla pudding and figured it would be something simple that both of us could eat and something that should be fairly easy to tell the cashier behind the counter what I wanted, right?
All was said and done I ended up with tapioca pudding, I will never forget the orange and red packaging the pudding came in, now I know it was Kozy Shack® Pudding, back then I had no idea who, what and where I was just happy to be on the ground after a 11 hr. flight with a toddler. I had my vanilla pudding in hand and I had no idea what “Tapioca” meant, just thought it’s the English word for vanilla, yeah… I know… LOL.

I loved the flavor but couldn’t really figure out why my vanilla pudding had lumps in it, it was fresh and tasty but lumps? Really? I remember mentioning that to my husband once I caught up with him in the terminal and he just laughed and called me “Silly”. He explained to me what Tapioca Pudding really was and yes, I felt silly I also felt better knowing that the pudding was perfectly good to eat. What a relief!
That was my story how Tapioca Pudding and myself met, we don’t have Tapioca Pudding in Germany, at least not when I left back in the day, so this was all new to me and it has quickly become my favorite pudding. I love the flavor and tapioca!
Now almost 18 years later I’m the mom of 3 and I know all too well about Kozy Shack® Puddings and I know they are made with simple, wholesome ingredients, so it’s simply delicious. It is the only premium pudding made with simple, wholesome ingredients like milk, eggs, sugar and rice. Kozy Shack® Puddings have been a staple in my fridge ever since and are my all time favorite.
I love to pair the Kozy Shack® Tapioca Pudding with fresh fruit like my Rhubarb sauce and a little whip cream. The tardiness of the Rhubarb combined with the sweetness of the Tapioca Pudding, just amazing and the perfect blend of fruity and creamy. Have you ever made Rhubarb sauce?
It’s very easy, just get one pound of rhubarb, cut the ends off and dice the rest of the stems into smaller pieces; add about 2 cups of water and lots of sugar, don’t be afraid of too much sugar 2-3 cups easily, bring to boil and keep boiling till your rhubarb is tender and breaking apart. That’s it!! Simple as that, takes about 5-8 minutes or so. Let I cool and enjoy it with your Tapioca Pudding.
There you have my story how I feel in love with Kozy Shack® Puddings and how I created my #SummerofPudding memories. Do you have memories of your own? Would love to hear it, leave me a comment below. Do you have special toppings, a special way to eat the Tapioca Pudding or just a story, I wanna hear it all!

My mom loved making puddings. And I remember growing up all the delicious puddings that she made. But my favorite from her was the Banana Pudding that she made that looked like a banana split. She called it Banana Split Pudding Dessert. It was so good. Instead of ice cream we had pudding, whipped cream. bananas, crushed pineapple, nuts!

I love pudding and this looks so delicious. I love pudding during the summer months as it is cold to the taste.

As kids, we would get to have pudding 1-2 times per month. We would put whipped cream on top, then a cherry.
