What’s Cooking Monday

April 15, 2013 By Melanie Roberts 28 Comments

This weekend sure went by in the blink of an eye and here we are, yet again, creating another Meal Plan. We also finally finished our Office Makeover and this week I will be posting all the little #DYI projects that went along with the office Remodel, be sure to check them out and maybe get some ideas of your own.

our finished office makeover all #DYI work and simpl changed with some colors and a few projects a different view

Yup, just had to show you a sneak peek; I’m soo excited that we are finally done and that it’s looking great and feels wonderful. Especially the Window seat, nice to take a nap now and then, yup.. tested and approved by every member in the family…LOL…

Okay, on to what’s cooking this week. Since I was so busy I took off to Pinterest to get some dinner ideas. Check out what we will dish up and would love to hear your Meal Plan as well.

I found you “What’s Cooking Monday” post several weeks ago and have to let you know that I’ve been hooked ever since. I really appreciate that you post a variety of ideas, but then also link to recipes so that it is easy to follow. My family knows about “What’s Cooking Monday” now and always ask what I found for the new week.

I love that you post a menu for the week. It makes your blog so unique and so helpful for uninspired cooks like me. I love your office space so when I get my new home I’ll invite you to help me.

I should create a menu like you do. That is a great idea because of days like today, I don’t have a clue what I’ll be making. Makes life much easier I’d say. I have mentioned that to my daughter before but we still have yet to do it.

I have a few odds and ends left overs that I may try a twist on Italian Sausage Melt tomorrow night – I have left over sausage, spaghetti sauce instead of Alfredo and canned tomatoes will sub for the grape tomatoes so I don’t have to head back to the grocery stores. I’ll have to let you know how it turns out. My rule… it may not always be the best trial and error, but should at least be edible! There are only a few times we chose to toss out an experiment’s leftovers, so I guess it’s a success. 🙂

Turned out great! Or at least hubby and I thought so. Kids noticed the peppers and ate just a bit of crust (which they did like) and cheese and left the rest. But I’ll enjoy the leftovers for my lunch next week!
