Growing up in Germany around a bunch of US military families, I was always jealous of the wonderful birthday cakes everyone seem to be able to make and the cool decorations they had. I remember my best friends mom made her a Strawberry Shortcake cake one year, it took her a few days to complete but it was unlike anything I had ever seen. I loved the cool decorations and it wasn’t until I moved to the US when I found out that none of these folks were making any of the cakes from scratch; I really thought all my friends mom’s were awesome artists and my mom was just boring…lol…, here in the US is where I found the secret, the secret was “Wilton“. I remember the first time I saw the Wilton products in a Michaels store, that was the only store we had in town.. I was in love, I bought every product they had. I loved to spend time learning and decorating the cakes; still to this day, I want to take a cake decorating class. This is just the coolest thing for a mom to do; make the little ones favorite Birthday cake and make it look like a million bucks. One day, just one day I may be able to do that.

Now many years later, I’m so busy that I hardly ever bake; but Wilton wanted me to check out their new Easter line and see how we liked it; I think they just wanted me to start backing again, because they miss me buying all the products J But, I have to admit, Wilton has wonderful products for any occasion. I was thrilled to bake for my family this weekend. Take a look and see what was in our package.

We decided on some Carrot Cake Muffin, after all Easter is just around the corner….


We had so much fun making and decorating the Muffins; I loved the muffin pan. The muffins came out so easy and all in one piece, I’m in love with this one. Of course, silly me ( if you’ve been on my blog for a while, you know that I don’t do well with instructions..lol) asked hubby if I should fill the cups up all the way, he said no, probly ½ way… I said Okay and filled them to the top…lol.. yup.. that’s me always ask for advice and then do it the way I want to…Well, once they came out, the looked great BUT also had a bubble on top.. BUT that was perfect, because I was able to pull the cupcake out of the pan that way, see all good.. even if I do it my way J … lol… I cut the top of some of them and added icing in the middle, some we just kept whole; It was a lot of fun, the kids decorated and the Toddler couldn’t wait to dig into them; She even gave up her nightly popsicle in anticipation of the muffins…. And she loved them… We had a wonderful family evening with all the goodies from Wilton. This is something we will be doing often from now on.. super easy and soo much fun.

  42. I would love to win for the reason that I love to bake and I love to have my nieces and nephews “help” me in the kitchen. These would enable us to go beyond the regular pans.

  43. I want to win this because I love to bake for my family!! I think it brings us all together. When I let my two year old help out in the kitchen I feel like she learns so much while we make lasting memories together.
