It’s getting warm again in the sunshine state and I’m sure soon everywhere else. Mom & dad will take the little ones outside to enjoy the nice sunny weather, but most of us neglect to put on Sunscreen, even the first few days we go outside.. I know I’m one of those people, too, I have to admit. A few weeks back it was gray and rainy in the Sunshine state for what it seemed like weeks at a time, my Tween had a soccer champion ship one Saturday and the sun was peeking through, it was beautiful outside, a little chilly maybe in the low 70’s.. I know I know, that’s warm for you up north, I was a little cold and had a warm sweater and a jean sun, I would have never thought about sunscreen.. why would I, it was high 60’s low 70’s… ?? I realized that night when we came home. That my entire face was burned, so bad that I had watery blisters all over my face…. I was freaking out, we were only outside for a few hours.. how in the world…. This will tell you, you need to put on sunscreen EVERYTIME you take your little ones outside, sunny or not, warm or cold.. it should be a standard procedure in your house. I know It now is in our house… I also have a bottle of sun screen in the purse, the car and in sports bags for every kid, just to be covered.
One of the Sunscreens that we really like is the Coppertone Spray, it is convenient and goes on so fast when you are on the run.. If I find a sale, I always stock up on those and use them throughout the summer… a little piece of advise.. if you have your nails done or toe nails with the pretty French manicure.. Don’t use the spray can to put sun lotion on… it will ruin your pretty nails, it took me 3 years to figure that out.. It will dissolve your paint and make it sticky now all the sand, sock and everything with stick to your what was once a pretty toe nail or finger nail L not so much fun if you spend an arm and a leg to get the nails done….. So cover up the nails and toes before you spray !!!!! I also like the Coppertone Sticks, they work very well for the little ones or for the face… they are my favorite….

The spray-on sunscreens are very dangerous, especially if they are
water-proof. My lifeguard/swim instuctor sons watched as well-meaning mommas
sprayed sunscreen into the faces of their children last summer – these
sunscreens are thus inhaled into the lungs and bronchioles and coats them and mucus membranes with waterproofing agents and other chemicals – extremely dangerous to the respiartory system and membranes! Don’t do it! My boys explained to these mommas all summer.
