Happy New Year! Hope you had a great start into the New Year. Are you still keeping your resolutions? Did you even make any this year?
Our resolutions for this brand new year are going strong. We have the usual ones to eat more healthy, to cook more from scratch and less out of a box cooking along with a little more entertainment revamping. That’s where Netflix comes in, unfortunately Netflix can’t help me cook dinner but it certainly can help me steer my Family movie night into the right direction.
My goal this year is to have only movies and shows on our TV that are truly age appropriate. Most kids these days watch grown up shows and think little wrong about it. I want to change this in my home. My daughter is 8 and I really don’t think the Walking Dead or American Horror Story are the perfect fit for her age group yet more and more kids in her class are talking about it. I don’t like it, I may be old school but I just think these shows are for the mature audience, let our kids be kids, let them enjoy the peace and quiet for just a little longer. So this year we have band any PG 13 and above shows for my 8 year old and for any movie night that she participates in.
Netflix makes it easy, they have a kids only section and I can set what the kids can pick from. Win, win for all and my daughter gets to stay little for just a little bit. She will learn all the other stuff soon enough and hear all about it in school but for me and my family I feel this is the best way to kick off 2017.
A few movies we are excited to enjoy and stream during our Family Movie night are:
-
Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3
-
Tangled
-
Ice Princess
-
Dolphin Tales 2
Now we will have a few shows streaming once the kids go back and I’m excited to stream with my hubby during our weekly date night a few of these shows below.
-
Gabriel Iglesias Comedy
-
Skip Trace
-
Around the World in 8 days
-
The Cold Light of Day
January seems to be an awesome month for streaming your favorite Netflix shows, with 27 new shows now live along with all the other shows already on Netflix you will never get bored and have something to watch at all times.
