Let’s face it, kids nowadays are a lot smarter than what we knew at their age 20 some years ago. I still think that our little ones are born with an iPhone, Laptop and a Ps3, it’s amazing the Technology they already at a Toddler age, know and use. When I was little we played matching games on the kitchen table, my kids no use their Nintendo DS or the iPad to play the same games and guess what, they talk to the kids….?? Let’s face it, this is a different world and kids are required to learn at a faster pace and learn a lot more than what we had to learn. You know we love Nintendo, and I know my Toddler, Tween and my Teen all enjoy the many games that are available for the Nintendo DS. I’m as a mom, am always concerned if I buy the right game for the right kid. I really like the educational games. If the kids use computer and electronic games, why not give them something where they will learn while “playing”. You get the best of both worlds, kids are happy cause they get to play the Nintendo DS and Mom is happy because their brain is still active and working while playing.. win win for all.
So I started to look around for some new educational games that I can introduce to my Tween for his DS and came across a game called Think Smart Power UP your brain!. This game is geared towards kids 8 and up and it will stimulate the brain cells and get them motivated.
Think Kids is a fun and challenging edutainment title designed to challenge children and improve various cognitive abilities. Whether it’s memory, language skills, pattern recognition, or logical thinking, Think Kids has something for everyone to learn. With 18 different games in three difficulty settings, it’s a complete package! Your personal trainer will provide you with assistance when you need it and guide you through the game. Prepare yourself by practicing in Training Mode for the challenges that await you in Career Mode. With a bit of hard work you’ll unlock all of the fun exercises!
- Boy/girl personal coach to help you get better.
- 18 games in 6 categories.
- Special exercises for kids.
- Extensive feedback on progression.
- Multiplayer mode: Hotseat, Single-card-Multiplayer (small quiz), Multi-card Multiplayer (big quiz with all 18 games).
- Child-appropriate look with varied mini-games.
My Tween spend hours the last few weeks playing and testing this game, and I have to admit, that when I got a hold of the game, I started playing it right away, too. It is age 8+ however it may seem like an “easy” game to
you, but in all honesty, if you are trying to train your memory and you play a “memory” game, isn’t that easy, too?? But it will do the trick and keep your memory sharp, correct? Well, that’s the same with Think Smart DS game, it may seem simple, yet it does what it suppose to. I was hooked on the game within a few minutes and actually played for a good hour, cause I liked it so much.
My Tween really enjoys the game and it’s a nice change to some of the DS games that he has. This game can be played with 1-4 players and also played in the wireless DS Single Play Card Download or the Wireless DS Multi Card player. I think by far this game is one of those games that will never get old, because no matter how often you memorize the picture, it will always be in a different place than the last go round. So much fun, and will be a great teaching tool for your Tween.

This Nintendo DS Think Smart game is available through Amazon.com or any of your favorite online or local retailers nationwide and has a suggested retail value of $19.99; for more information please go to Conpiracygames.com
