Idon’t have little ones who need Formula, BUT wanted to share this incase some of my readers use this…
There is a voluntary recall on certain lot numbers of Similac Powder formulas due to a remote possibility that they may contain the prescence of a small common beetle.
From what I have read so far, there is no urgent health risks if your child has consumed forumlas from the affected lot numbers, but the FDA does state there is a possibility it could cause discomfort. If you use Similac powder formulas, you can go HERE to read about this voluntary recall.
The recall of these powder infant formulas include:
- Certain Similac powder product lines offered in plastic containers.
- Certain Similac powder product lines offered in 8-ounce, 12.4-ounce and 12.9-ounce cans.
To immediately find out if your products are included in this recall, locate the lot numbers on the bottom of your containers as shown in the photo, visit http://similac.com/recall/lookup.aspx, and type in your lot number(s) to determine if your product is affected. Or you may call (800) 986-8850.
Their webpage is very slow in loading, so be patient, I think they are just getting slammed..
-Thanks MyDallasMommy for the heads up!
