See what we got at Publix for $11

Last week wasn’t a shopping week for us at all; no good deals and nothing we really needed, so last week we skipped. This week wasn’t really any better, however they had Free dog treats and my pup’s love treats, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get paid $.50 a bag of dog treats at the store. This is also a great item to get the extra money off on your fruit, veggies or items that are usually hard to find coupons for like meat or bread.

Buy the dog treats and the store will give you overage, that will be applied towards the total of your order. I now can hear a lot of people saying… BUT…. I don’t have a dog… no problem at all , still buy the treats, get the money off your groceries and donate the treats to a shelter, family in need or neighbor, the treats didn’t cost you a Penney and the overage that the coupon produced lowered your grocery bill. Killed two birds with one stone…. Simple as that…

Here is what we bought this week…..

We bought:
10 Dentastix Dog Treats, they are Buy One Get One Free and the newspaper a few weeks ago had $2/1 coupons
6 Del Monte Fruit Cups, currently on sale for 3/$5 – Not usually a stock up price for us, and there are no coupons currently out..
2 pounds of fresh shrimp $4.99 a pound on sale, no coupons

My Total before coupons was $36.08( that includes $1.05 in tax)

Coupons I used
10 – $2/1 Dentastix Dog Treats = $20.00 ( from a Sunday newspaper a few weeks back SS 1/30 I think)
1 – Publix coupon $5/ $30 ( was mailed to me from the soccer club)

Total after coupons: $11.08 !!!!

As you can see the coupons pretty much paid all of the Dog treats and all of the Fruit cups and all I paid for was the shrimp !!!

We had a savings of $48.70!!!!
